Josh's latest drum cover, he had never ever played this before, so it was a go in cold recording working from his memory of the song.

He has also made his decision.....he is off to uni!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
I've got a crappy cold, chipped a tooth that has cut my tongue and have to have stupid cancer checks. I'm in a filthy mood.
.
I had my Cardiac review post heart attack last week. I feel Ok but have to have an MRI to check my heart is perfused enough as I have another graft that is a bit furred up but it is in a tricky position so if other vessels are getting enough blood to the muscle I wil not need another procedure. It is not urgent, and i am viewing this as a good thing as at least I know and can get urgent help if I feel worse.
Saw my GP and got a referral to an endocrinologist of my choice. My diabetes hb A1c is 94, last time it was off the scale (over 100) my medication is not working and I need this sorted as it has been 6 months. Consultant phoned me this evening to get some more details, so very speedy.
GP also referred me to a neurologist to investigate my tremors.
Started Cardiac rehab class today and I was fine in it but shattered afterwards, I had had to try to use my arms in the cardio exercises and of course my left arm does not want to play, therefore it was harder than I imagined.Legs were pretty good though.
I walked 2.8 miles last evening and did the first 2 miles in 51 minutes. lightening speed!
Afterwards I had a pedicure and manicure ( my equivelent of a beer).
I was blaming my former life style for my ill health in the call with endocrinologist tonight, he said not in my case , that my metabolic syndrome/pcos/insulin resistance were more likely at the root of it. I am posting that bit of detail as I know another NP has a family member with similar traits.
GP and I also discussed my meds and I am going to stop some treatments . When I have weaned myself off (slowly) I will take 10 less tablets a day. Not sure what the consequences will be for the condition they manage, but a side effect is that they increase my blood glucose.
All this free at the point of delivery. Sure along the way there have been some annoying things but the NHS is working very hard to keep me alive and well.0 -

Sounds as though you have a lot of things on your plate but are being well looked after. Sending thoughts and hugs and prayers.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Anyone got any tips for best man speeches???
Or giving speeches in general.
Wedding is Monday and I really need to get it done tomorrow
Yep! It's a privilege, so don't take liberties.
Keep it clean.
Don't worry if you don't come over as Oscar Wilde - lame jokes will go down better than ones that show the family/bride in a negative away. Don't refer to previous relationships/marriages etc.
Make prompt sheets/cards and don't try to wing it.
Keep it short.
You'll be fine.;)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
ch4 at 9pm "British problems" meant to be v funny.
I saw the trailer for this. Whilst I like the twitter feed it's based on, the programme just looked like a rehash of Grumpy Old Men / Women. Was I t actually ok?

Great news (this tablet doesn't seem to want to do smillies)0 -
The temperature of the sea was 27c and as clear as glass, oh didn't I say, I am on holiday in the South of France.
However I must say that a visit to Remich in Luxembourg makes me feel in the holiday mood.

Visual gags are a good start.
- Take a big thick training manual and stick a cover on it with the words "Wedding Speech" in large letters.
- Hide it under the table until speech time
- Bring it out at the start and explain it by saying things like : how you've made a "few notes" ; "rest breaks will be available along the way" ; "it gets funnier after chapter 4" ; etc as you flick through the pages.
Yes, it's cheesy, but it's a very simple visual gag that has broad appeal (hopefully).
Watch the look of despair on the audience faces. Then from the middle of the big binder pull out one or two small pieces of paper with the actual speech notes. Wave paper at the audience and joke with them telling you had them all worried ; Aunt Mabel was already checking out the toilet escape routes etc.0 -

Short and sweet.
