Just had a big row with OH about the teenagers who sit on the wall across the road from us. It's been going on for a few days now. Makes me uncomfortable to go out in our front garden to do stuff like dead head the roses. To be honest if I was here on my own I'd be calling the cops. Just don't like teens sitting on wall directly across from our house. OK maybe I'm just paranoid, but we were robbed shortly before we left old home, so I think it's not surprising I don't like our new home being looked at.
If OH is away from home visiting his Mum or whatever and it happens again I might call the cops as I just feel so vulnerable and uneasy.
Think he's wrong to ignore. He just doesn't seem to get that sometimes the hackles rising (as they are for me over this) is a sign that things ain't right.
I definitely have a bad feeling about it all.0 -
That's pretty much my dinner tonight right there: leg of pork, roast spuds, roast aubergine (plus courgette and peppers).
I went to Morrisons and they had panini rolls at 9p for 2, rude not to. split, oven toasted on the outside, turned over, sliced had, salami, gerkins and mozerella on top, a second oven toast, close them up and eat with salad. Got a nom too.I think....0 -

That gets a fair few noms.

I ended up going shopping last night... found myself buying a diverse range of things, and rather more than I set out for!
First stop was to get some masonry paint, to give me a kick up the backside to get the rendering on the front of the house fixed. Had picked a rather expensive paint (to go with the rather expensive paint for the front door and railings-to-be). Used a voucher from the local paper - man behind the counter asked if I was nearly finished decorating. I laughed and told him I'd barely startedand he gave me another voucher
So I bought another tin of masonry paint (think I'd have been pushing it with the one anyway).
Seeing as I was the other side of town, nipped to the retail park. Liberated a number of veg plants from the reductions shelf (oops)in B+Q.
Found the dustpan and brush I've been looking for for ages in TK Maxx (http://www.tesco.com/direct/flower-power-geranium-dustpan-brush-set/724-0830.prd, bought one for a friend a while ago and have been looking for another ever since). Also spotted another item in the kitchen set I seem to have started collecting :http://www.pyrexuk.com/range/glass/kitchenlab-verre.html. When I do up the kitchen I think they'll get a special shelf to be on show.
Then remembered that via Amex there was an offer for £10 off £70 in Argos - so bought some TK Maxx vouchers before making my purchases
A pair of shoes later and I headed to Tesco. They overcharged me by mistake so my £9ish of shopping ended up costing me -50p thanks to 'Double the Difference'(and included things like 2x Aubergines at 3p each).
I did feel like you'd have been proud of me, Michaels!0 -

Re: Diet
I was diagnosed as Diabetic Type 2 (fat bloke) on 13th April with a HbA1c test of 88 (10.5%)
I cut out virtually all carbs (bread, spuds, pasta etc etc) and replaced the missing calories with fat.
I have lost over 2 stone in weight and my HbAic test from July was 32 which is totally non diabeteic.
Carbohydrate is the enemy folks.
It will kill you !!!!!'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

I once bought a TV in Tesco marked down as manager's special from 350 to 200. It went through the till at 350 and foolishly I expressed surprise at the total bill being close to 400 rather than the 250 ish I was expecting so the cashier corrected it <headpalm smiley> I won't be making that mistake again.
Niks, you don't have to do anything for me to be proud of youI think....0 -
P.S. My total cholesterol has remained unchanged, but my HDL to LDL has improved and my Triglyclrides have reduced.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0
