I didn't dare to mention it earlier out of fear of being ejected from the NP thread, but I've never had toad in a hole either.
I just don't like that kind of batter.
Similarly, when having Sunday roast, I'll always end up giving the yorkshire pud away or leaving it on the plate.

Gen, as you're about... what's the current buzz in Australia about the Eurovision and having an Aussie entry? Are people getting into it? I think it will do well and will scoop up a hat full of points from the UK.

Shame it's a one-off. We could be the Greece and Cyprus of future years. Heaven knows we need douze points from somewhere. Especially this year.

Shall we start a "Name 10 famous Belarussians" quiz ?

It's been on TV over here for years. I suspect it's a bit of a gay niche (stereotyping horribly sorry) TBH. It's being trailed pretty hard and it's all over the buses.

I think if the Aussie entry gets into the finals and is seen to be in with a shout of winning it could be big. Aussies crave international recognition.

Being from the country that brought us waffles, the only batter based substance that is even nicer than Yorkshire Pudding, you probably get a bye on this.

Its ok by me. :D I think Yorkshire puddings are nice and would not give it away but there is plenty of food I would rather eat.

And there was me thinking we'd reached a consensus on yorshire pudding. :wall:
