Have you seen the alternative way to put a duvet on? It works! I've just tried it on a double but I'm really looking forward to trying it on the superking

I think I may be winning the fight with the Ikea products. Still no idea how to get the doors on the wardrobe, however. I want it done before Doozer returns so I can show what a clever (read utterly mindless) girl I am. I think I may also have trapped a non-matching chest of drawers at the far end of DD's room.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I fold mine in half, stick it in and then spread the edges, grabbing the top of the cover and shake vigourously.
Works well, and takes less than a minute to do.💙💛 💔0 -
How is that the time? I am not winning at all. This place is carnage. I have my speed awareness course tomorrow morning. The cleaner will not fit in the front door!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

It takes me much longer to achieve a very lumpy uneven finish.
This frustrates DW so much she rarely invites me to help.

OH is off sailing on the Mersey tonight in a Seabird Half Rater (that's our boat to the right, red keel with red sails and dark blue spinnaker in the photo on Wikipedia!
). I'm ashamed to say I neglected to ask the name of the boat.
It's a gorgeous evening, and I think the wind has dropped somewhat since earlier... But suspect it will be a lively sail! Wish I could still get out there and do stuff like this. I wonder if they'll sail at the weekend when the Cunard ships are at Pier Head. Prob not as they sail downstream from there. But as such an old one design class it would have been interesting.

.
I have sent this to The Boss who struggles. Two weeks ago he cut a hole in one of my pre him duvet covers to make a grab through hole at the top.
You can imagine how impressed I was . Luckily I love him a lot more than a duvet cover and I've lost the pillow slips for that one so it was time to let it go anyway, it just seems sad it could not go to people who needed a duvet cover instead of to rag.0 -
And another thing, while we are on bedding, has anyone noticed that places like the white company are still charging a lot but lots of their stuff no longer has a thread count listed because its dropped right down to 200?
I think its very cheeky because people who don't know think they are buying something better quality than they are, and that feels sort of dishonest to me.0 -
Am I the only person who doesn't use a duvet?
Sheets and blankets all the way.0 -

My mother is sheets and blankets all the way.I think it looks nicer.
I'm half way house. I like sheets and a duvet and blankets! Bed without a top sheet feels......sad. We have it sometimes, but is don't like it.0 -
Duvet for me. Blanket folded in half over the bottom half of the bed.
Saw a beautiful bedspread the other day though, which I nearly bought. Then talked myself out of. Don't know what colours the bedrooms will end up as yet...0
