Is it the day I got the keys? Or the day I moved stuff (& me) in?
On the getting the keys, I got the call at 11.29am on one day. Went round & deep cleaned the place, prepared for moving all the stuff. The actual move in was the day after.
When do I celebrate?
My considered opinion is that you should celebrate on both days, just to be on the safe side

Just doing some number crunching.....
Sweden is Russia's biggest threat, and that is hugely dependent on a very risky backdrop going completely perfectly.
I therefore believe that one of those two will be the winner

Nice coastal walk(s) would be top notch sir. As would nice scenic gardens, woods, forests or the like. Nice places to picnic. Recommended affordable fooderies. Any potential "experiences" one should have were one to visit there. There's a wonderful coastline between Cromer and Great Yarmouth. I'd recommend pretty much anywhere between those two towns, but not the towns themselves. What are you looking for? Night life in Norfolk is pretty unsophisticated. But there are lots of sandy beaches that are not too crowded. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Skegness to me was just a boring place. Went there for a day last year whilst visiting friends. No reason to go there ever again.vivatifosi wrote: »Re Great Yarmouth... Have only been there a couple of times, neither recently, however I agree that there are nicer places on the Norfolk coast. I prefer north Norfolk such as Wells Next The Sea. I'd go that way if heading for the county. It's much less developed and more charming.
Great Yarmouth isn't dreadful, it's just representative of a particular type of Britsh resort. Reminds me of Skegness, Margate pre Tate and local renaissance, Hastings etc... all fair sized seaside towns with a fair sample of fish and chip shops, tacky souvenirs, arcades and so on. Plus sometimes a funfair.
Thanks for the replies all! Ideas of places to escape to are being noted down

Perfectly valid argument there. My considered opinion is that you should celebrate on both days, just to be on the safe side
Think I'll have a low key "collect the keys" anniversary. Planning a game of golf with my dad, then my parents coming over for dinner. Perhaps a restrained GT day (GT-ing & parents doesn't really go together, does it?)
I';m making them toad in the hole. Only because in conversation with my dad the other day I found out he didn't know what it was, nor had he ever eaten it.:eek:It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
