    I've been Money Tipped!
Picnic day in the garden .....

Is it nice where you are? Its a bit 'bleh' here. I lit the fire even. :( tea outside would have been perfect but its not to be sadly.

It's lovely and sunny here but I'm indoors at the moment. My neighbours make too much noise when I go in my tiny garden and it winds me up.:p

Currently we reside in the West Midlands, having sold our Wiltshire [STRIKE]project[/STRIKE] house last year. We fell in love with the new house on RM, drove umpteen miles to view it and offered on the spot. Originally we hail from Hampshire, have also lived in Essex, but despite appearing to be trying out all the English counties, have never lived in Hertfordshire - so definitely *Outer Herts*, lol :rotfl:
    Yay! Another local!:j
Soon we'll take over the NP thread...:D

Hello, phoebe. Lovely to have someone else to bolster the Midlands contingent.

    Take that, Inners Herts :p
    Absolutely!:rotfl:

Repotted the sprouts and cucumbers this weekend.
Couple of tomatoes seem to be popping through.
Swiss chard going nuts, gonna have to thin them out in a week.

I've also laid 5 slabs - 3 in front of the summerhouse, and 2 in front of the shed. Also had a major weed-a-thon this weekend, as well as a proper tidy up of the front (3 bins full of leaves and blossom had congregated on a not big drive!)

All in all, been a busy jelly this weekend.

Still amazes me how so many people on this thread are so kind and helpful. Reminded of this reading the avalanche of replies to Viva's request, all of which are so thoughtful, practical, and useful.

    Appropriately, it's just so nice.:)

I had to get out of bed early this morning because of my neighbours.

They helped me with some gardening this morning :) They're very keen and even though we'd agreed on a 10am start (which is kinda early for me on a Sunday :o), they were ready to go around 9.30 when I saw off the friend who stayed over last night. We blitzed a corner of the garden, then got cleaned up and went out with another set of neighbours for lunch.

It's been a crazy weekend. As I said earlier, not sure who's social life I got by mistake but I could do with a couple of days off to recover.

Send them here! I have a week's solid work for them. Will provide unlimited beer in exchange, plus suitable appreciative noises from time to time.

I haven't done anything worthy this weekend (no change there).
We went on a Murder Mystery weekend with the group of friends who first met 25.5 years ago at ante-natal classes when pregnant with first children.
8 adults and 4 of the children.
A good time was had by all, with the possible exception of the two corpses.
I won the trivia quiz, the oldest of said offspring won the prize for the best solution to whodunnit.
Another of our party won a Nancy Drew award for enthusiastic sleuthing, and two others won Inspector Clouseau awards for the quality of their detecting.
