Jehovahs don't bother me, surprised I am not black listed, last time they came round they asked what I thought of the bible, I said it was the best seller 2000 years ago to which they agreed, to which I then asked "does that mean harry potter will be god 2000 years from now?" I then told them I was of a religion called happism where the muppets are gods and we make a prayer to the swedish chef before meals... ie hurdy gurdy fish...
In short they are nice enough people and they keep me entertained for a short while every once in a while on a sunday so they really don't bother me.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Our clearing out yesterday was hugely successful. garage reclaimed from being a dumping ground and bedrooms and bathroom drawers gone through. lots gone to the fete including a significant amount of unopened bath/body lotion/hand cream type stuff that have been gifts to DD & I in such volumes we would never have got through it (especially the bath stuff as we no longer have a bath). So l'occitane, Origins, sanctuary, lush, ,crabtree & evelyn and Ted Baker bottles, bombsand tubes have been rehomed. Seems dreadful and ungrateful but It was just clutter here. We have enough stuff and need to buy less stocking fillers for each other and ask people to be less generous.
DD was donating an unworn superdry smock that was a medium and too big for her. It has been reclaimed and is now hanging up in my wardrobe.
That's amazing progress Spirit. The people in receipt of those donations will be thrilled. I wouldn't tackle more than the garage in one go (ours does have a car in, not full of junk), let alone everywhere else. Kudos to you. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Your skills and kindness are more than enough. If I tell OH he will be shamed into doing it. He does so much that if he does not want to dig that is fine by me, but he will have to read the cards in the newsagents window and get contact details as I can go nowhere to get such info and this job really is ttoo small for the internet.
Well, the offer stands. I could be in the area inviting myself to PNs0 -

In terms of milk, I can generally drink it ok (don't use that much), but cream doesn't like me. Cheese is ok in moderation. I get on fine with yoghurt (or so I think). In terms of wheat, it's bread and white pasta that I suspect, but only time will tell. My suspicion is that wheat rather than dairy is the problem.
There is a theory that fat slows the progress of the lactose through the gut, so lactose products with a higher fat content are more likely to be tolerated. Certainly if I am out and have to have some milk in coffee, I go for the normal milk rather than my usual skimmed. Cheese and yoghurt have a much lower lactose content than milk and yoghurt has lots of friendly bacteria helping the processing of lactose.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I should be really good at suggesting alternatives as I eat vegan at home/office, but the only substitute I make is oat milk in porridge. Never used butter, don't drink tea or coffee, don't really cook much. I miss cheese, but even then I didn't eat much..
Might be worth looking at some of the vegan websites and seeing if they have some solutions viva.
Cake looks scrummy, lir:D
That meadowmat is going onto the saved list for next year for the back lawn. There's only about 4' of turf left to dig up at the side - phew! Will have to make some definite decisions next weekend. I'm also having the bathroom taken out in about 6 weeks, so there's more decisions to be made.0 -
I could manage okay without dairy, but would find doing without wheat very difficult. We have quite a lot of bread, and even oat bread is Mostly wheat. There seems to be a way to make bread without gluten but I'm not sure how?
3am bacon/sausage (and egg if I'm feeling generous) sandwich before work, sandwich for lunch (around 11am), usually containing some meat, and then something with wheat for dinner usually. (usually around 7pm)
I'd struggle without wheat, too.
We use bread from Dorringtons, white multigrain, but rather expensive (about £2.50/loaf), but it really is good quality.
OH says I only go in there for the cakes, and she's usually right
Managed to find a set of scales last night, and I've lost another 4kg (9lb) in the last 2 weeks. Only 19kg (just under 3st) to go until target weight now, which is about 60% of what it was in January.💙💛 💔0 -

Have mown the lawn 3 or 4 times I think. Extremely thankful I only have 1 lawn - front all being block paved.
Last autumn I moved a load of turf to create where the veg patch will be. Have spent most of winter/spring willing the re-laid turf to take as well as possible. It is starting to look good, & I'm now trying to build some parts of it up higher. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Well I have to say I've been quite impressed with the 'gadget' So much for all the stories on limited battery life. After the first 24 hours I still had 20% charge left. OK, i hadn't been exactly hammering the Apps, but I had been browsing them.
The second day was different and both battery on the watch and iPhone were draining quickly and couldn't work out why? Turns out I was using Activity and GPS together, which wasn't a good idea, so now sorted.
I'm probably not using the functions as much as other people would, but I'm still finding it dead handy for thing like monitoring my texts when I'm out, and checking my diary.I even have news updates coming through!
Apart from anything else it's a well crafted timepiece, albeit expensive. One happy chappy!0 -

Is that a franchised dealer?
If so, it's about average I think...
I take mine to an independent, £50 + VAT0 -

Oh heck. I foresee another book coming out.
"Watch for Dummies"
It's funny how the demand for this publication never arose before..

Problem. My watch has a complete loss of information. Help.
Answer. Make sure the 'dial' side is facing away from the wrist, and not in!
