Send them here! I have a week's solid work for them. Will provide unlimited beer in exchange, plus suitable appreciative noises from time to time.
I have a smallish amount of digging that needs to be done. I usually do it, but cannot this year. OH was going to do it this weekend but this morning told me he "hates" digging. So now I need to get someone in. I want it done before next weekend, I wish he had told me sooner. Our last two regular gardeners were let go because one was way too slow and the other thought just attending and sitting in the garden counted as him having "been". This means I need to find someone with the capacity and inlination to do a "one off" and pay through the nose for it.0 -
Thanks Spirit. The doc doesn't know at the moment. In terms of wheat, I've had the tests for both celiac and crohns which thankfully came back negative. My suspicion is an intolerance rather than allergy, and then possibly also not to the whole thing.
In terms of milk, I can generally drink it ok (don't use that much), but cream doesn't like me. Cheese is ok in moderation. I get on fine with yoghurt (or so I think). In terms of wheat, it's bread and white pasta that I suspect, but only time will tell. My suspicion is that wheat rather than dairy is the problem. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Before next weekend or would early next weekend do...? Inclination levels fine, skill levels might be a matter of opinion.0 -

I could manage okay without dairy, but would find doing without wheat very difficult. We have quite a lot of bread, and even oat bread is Mostly wheat. There seems to be a way to make bread without gluten but I'm not sure how?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Had an eventful weekend, glued the swing seat down in the garden... take that wind!
Raided mothercare and spent £420 in one trip, not bad for how much we got.
Had another visit from the Jehovahs, the end is coming apparently and all religions not true to god will disappear, I didn't ask what would happen to me as I have no religion and they didn't know.
Bought 3 canvas for mini me (iron man, hulk and captain america), I wasn't out to buy them or anything like but loved the colours so why not.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

When OH went on his bread making course in February they learnt how to make a traditional english country loaf. It is a method that needs a lot of time between stages so happens over 3 days. It gets so much neading that all gluten is worked out of it. I can ask him for the recipe if you are interested.0 -

Your skills and kindness are more than enough. If I tell OH he will be shamed into doing it. He does so much that if he does not want to dig that is fine by me, but he will have to read the cards in the newsagents window and get contact details as I can go nowhere to get such info and this job really is ttoo small for the internet.0 -
Our clearing out yesterday was hugely successful. garage reclaimed from being a dumping ground and bedrooms and bathroom drawers gone through. lots gone to the fete including a significant amount of unopened bath/body lotion/hand cream type stuff that have been gifts to DD & I in such volumes we would never have got through it (especially the bath stuff as we no longer have a bath). So l'occitane, Origins, sanctuary, lush, ,crabtree & evelyn and Ted Baker bottles, bombsand tubes have been rehomed. Seems dreadful and ungrateful but It was just clutter here. We have enough stuff and need to buy less stocking fillers for each other and ask people to be less generous.
DD was donating an unworn superdry smock that was a medium and too big for her. It has been reclaimed and is now hanging up in my wardrobe.0 -
Had another visit from the Jehovahs,
If you show interest and engage them in discussion, then they will think you are a promising potential convert and keep coming back to talk to you again. If you are happy with this, feel free to keep talking to them. If you want them to stop calling round, then make this unambiguously clear to them. If you are vague about how you feel and hope they will get the hint that you're not interested, you may find they keep trying. This is true of just about anybody who cold calls you about anything, either on the doorstep or on the phone. Unlike some people who are trying to sell you something and may be unpleasantly pushy, however, JWs are usually no trouble at all. All the ones I've ever met have been very courteous and respectful of people's expressed wishes if they make them clear.
At least, the only ones who didn't respect our wishes weren't deliberately rude. It was just after DS was born. We had both lost both Thursday and Friday night's sleep with the labour, and I hadn't had much sleep on Saturday night either because of the feeding. We had just brought him home from hospital on the Sunday, and by Monday we had left a large notice at the road end of the drive. On it, we explained that we had a very new baby and had had almost no sleep for several days, and that just for a few days we would be very grateful if everybody apart from the postman would refrain from walking up the drive to the house because it set the dog barking and woke us up.
All our friends and neighbours kindly complied with our request. However, later that day we were woken from a deep sleep by barking followed by the doorbell. We thought it must be a parcel, and LNE dragged himself out of bed to answer it. It was JWs. We asked them if they had seen and read our notice. "Oh yes", they said, "but we didn't think it applied to us". I wondered why they would supposed that people who were quite as sleep deprived (and in my case also sore as well as preoccupied) as us would be in the mood to discuss their ideas.
Still, I'm sure that was just two individuals on one occasion, and not representative of all of them. I'm sure the NP will understand why the incident has stuck in my memory, though.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
I haven't done anything worthy this weekend (no change there).
We went on a Murder Mystery weekend with the group of friends who first met 25.5 years ago at ante-natal classes when pregnant with first children.
8 adults and 4 of the children.
A good time was had by all, with the possible exception of the two corpses.
I won the trivia quiz, the oldest of said offspring won the prize for the best solution to whodunnit.
Another of our party won a Nancy Drew award for enthusiastic sleuthing, and two others won Inspector Clouseau awards for the quality of their detecting.
Went on one, and it was in your locality and was a great evening.:jHad another visit from the Jehovahs, the end is coming apparently and all religions not true to god will disappear, I didn't ask what would happen to me as I have no religion and they didn't know.
.
Letting them have a chat about their doctrine isn't really my cup of tea.
