Not posted much recently, been rather busy.

Business is booming, decided on a name for mini me and made the discision we won't get him christened/baptised. That conversation came up as we have been invited to a christening of a child of 2 non believers, I don't know how they do it as I couldn't go in a church and make promises I have no intention of keeping.

For the record I do identify myself as a humanist, I believe in being a good person without the fear of a divine entity forcing me do it.

    I've been Money Tipped!
One of my eyes is horror film chic today. Totally red where the white should be. The other just blood shot. :). I had a mild migraine some of yesterday, and have been a bit achey today, so I think its all connected. The red doesn't make it hard to see and I've got used to it. Today I painted my toenails....to match my eye colour, and not my irises, lol.

Its surprisingly hard to get a good close up photo of red eyes on an ipad without looking like a criminal. The camera placement means your eyes always want to wander to the screen, and taking a good straight shot can be tricky. When one gets a close up of ones own red eyes, its still a little underwhelming. I mean, its not Bette Davis' eyes looking back!

I've had that before. Slight increase in pressure inthe eye=migraine. Blood vessel bursts, relieving pressure and migraine goes away. Hopefully the redness goes away soon.

Hello phoebe, welcome to the NPT. I remember you from your stonkingly good posts on the Who'd Live In A House Like This thread... not what it's called, but it's late and I can't think straight. Good to have a fellow mushroom hater in these parts. And lovely to see you over here.

Jewish NP, I need your help. I have been told to go on an exclusion diet as I seem to have picked up another intolerance or allergy. GP has suggested that I give up dairy and wheat separately for three weeks each. I am about to stop wheat, but wondered if I could get some ideas re alternatives to dairy.

I've used Tomor before and tolerated it well, anything else you would suggest? I use quite a lot of dairy... milk, cheese, yoghurt, butter, fromage frais... looking to find alternatives for as many as possible. Many thanks!

Apologies for the post brain dump, have been away for a few days and playing catch up. Heard an amazing stat the other day. The millennium development goals have been so successful, that now only a small minority worldwide cannot afford to buy a fridge. And buying a fridge helps food safety and security. Quite mind blowing really. I think it's something like 15%.... if I would have had to guess, I'd have thought fridge owners were a minority.

Herts urgent care not covering themselves in glory this evening. Called out of hours as dd2 not very well. They decided best to see gp. Local out oh hours was full till it closed at 10, We were offered 11 at town to west or 11.30 at town to east, chose latter just in case sent to hospital as east hospital much more convenient than west hospital. Got there and all is chaos because they are moving to new building tomorrow morning and equipment has already moved. Doctor disappeared to go somewhere else to get printout as no computers and has now started seeing people but already 45 mins late :(

Also they saw baby who was after us first but we are clearly not priority as they just called in other adult before us.

Dd2 is sleeping in my arms now. Wish I hadn't called them at all.

Edit: DD2 s ok, seems to be just a virus although o2 sat was a bit low but couldn't measure properly as only had adult meter due to move in progress :( However main thing chest was clear as her symptoms were very like when she had pneumonia at xmas.
    I think....

Sorry to hear DD is poorly.:(

And virtual non-contact hugs to PN whose recent days seem to have been filled with very negative events, even if I'm not totally sure of the details.
