So while we were away there were high winds. The fence posts between our house and next doors have broken at the base. So 5 fence panels are attached to each other but not firmly secured to the ground.
This boundary belongs to next door. When the previous owners of our house built the extension they had to remove then replace this fencing to get diggers etc round the back.
So neighbours say that the fences belong to our house and we have to sort. But the boundary is theirs.
Last time some panels disintegrated, they just left them falling apart and we ended up replacing them. So I can't imagine them sorting it willingly.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. One of our hurdles came loose due to the high winds, however what is doing for it is our dog who is dismantling it stick by stick, He can get through to next door but he hasn't bothered as the endless stick supply is too distracting. Next door have an immaculate house and garden, have OCD tendencies and have just sold it but have yet to find somewhere else. I expect they will want us to get a new hurdle tout suite.0 -
Cavapoo.
...which when I was young had a couple of very specific names :
a) mongrel
b) Heinz 57
Oh, and a mongrel didn't cost a grand in those days!
I love this silly name combining. I notice they don't try it with Bull Terrier and Shih-Tsu !
Somebody today asked whether Doglet is a Jack Russell. I said 'partly'. I reckon that she is partly any breed you can think of.
Lottie is an anagram of Toilet, by the way.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

You generally can't force them to repair the fence, even if it is their responsibility. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Thanks, W would love seeing them. I am really nervous as it seems like proper gardening where you need ability, flair and orgnisation skills. I was no gardener before and my stroke has notimproved things.
.
Nope, just need a sense of gung-ho and excitement! Quite a bit you can do with one hand....trimming out water shoots for example, rubbing out shoots you don't want on the trunk. The tying in is a two handed job. The standing staring and deciding what stays and goes definitely possible. :beer:0 -

I did go to the local auction, twice, to check out their offerings - those there were mostly vile (some they couldn't even give away) - and those that were semi-decent seemed to reach daft amounts.

That's very true. I am talking over 2 decades ago and suites fetched silly money back then too.
(It was a naff sofa and chairs I got too, in truth).
It's worth buying a quality unit I think. There are some great upholsterers about.0 -

The fact that you replaced panels definitely makes them 'yours'. Choice is yours to remove and not replace, if you fancy a waiting game.
Febce between our 'land' and next door blew over before they moved in. They know it's theirs. Old neighbour came and propped it from our side and it has been left for over a year.
The other side blew over entirely (so their neighbour's) - but our neighbour is in the process of fixing it. Our side may have some of its supports disappear, soon.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

You can apparently get a Shih-Poo .....

Kabayiri, Lottie is gorgeous. It amused me that you bought a dog that matches the carpet, generally v wise!
Lottie looks like my brother's dog, which I think they call a cavachon, does that sound right? It's a cross between a cavalier king charles spaniel and a bishon frise. I think the second breed is correct, but it sounds like a lettuce to me.
Glad to see you frequenting the npt by the way. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
