There would have been questions as to your sexuality if you had....we had one of two boys at our ballet classes and the assumption was made with them, although it was the 70's.
James does pole dancing/fitness at competition level (rather than anything sleazy) and the first thing people say when told is "Are you/he gay" (depending on who is doing the telling), or "I didn't realise he was that way inclined".
Mind you, you should see the hotpants he had to perform in last year! Thankfully, they have changed for this year.....We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Tried on new tops in town yesterday....3 sizes smaller than they had been in January and they fitted!
Downside to that is absolutely none of my current clothes fit me anymore......
Well done Sue! Amazing achievement :T
Tried on some jeans yesterday. Horrific. I really need some as all of mine that fit are now worn out. Whilst technically I found some, I couldn't bring myself to buy them as they didn't look great (or even ok). The main issue being what was inside them
Enough is enough. Time to do something about it.0 -
Thanks Nikkster....as a further to my previous post, got Josh some new jeans 2 sizes smaller than he had before when really I should have bought 3 sizes smaller, they are already swamping him (he has now lost over 3 stone since Jan) and they aren't even 3 weeks old!We made it! How much further do you both have to go before you reach your targets?0 -

It's the business of the individual to be comfortable with and of their own sexuality. Everyone else can grow up and foxtrot oscar, frankly.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

A good amount....not even halfway to target (although close to it)We made it! If only I had had more vision when I was younger I would have done ballet. As a male you would be certain to get a big part however talentless (or it would look that way in the tights anyway) and the straight male : female ratio would have been amazingly favourable.
Bizzarely, DS2 tells me that his pyschology degree course mates have that ratio. Notionally m/f ratio is 1:1, but straight m/f ratio is 1:10.
When I asked him how he knew, he said that the key is the purple laptop covers, though apparently very few keep it hidden by the time they are 20.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Absolutely!
A little earlier and I am stood with tens of thousands of runners in the Manchester 10K. We are all going through the warm up routine.
Suddenly, 2 *girls* walk past done up to the nines, with silly heel heights - definitely not in the race.
My friend Deb who was running alongside turned to me and said "Did you notice they were both trannies?"
I confess I didn't notice; but I love the diverse nature of Manchester. If I was more aware I would have roped them in for a selfie!

Don't quote, will delete.
My goodness, I'm ready to live alone again. Perhaps I verge on OCD, but I'm quite into handwashing. With soap. And washing up with washing up liquid not just rinsing.
And flushing the toilet with the lid down.
That's better0 -
Nikkster, isn't that what everybody does?0
