Apparently not! I'm a nag at the best of times (not my fault my way of doing this is usually the best way), but its not appropriate at the moment.0 -
And I think the door people have fried one of the sockets in my living room. Grrr...0

. Poor westie.
Doglet seems to eat all sorts of things. I had a heavy duty plastic mat under my desk to protect the carpet. It started breaking up a bit, and I caught Doglet chewing bits of tough plastic. I hope she did not swallow, but she does seem to have been a bit out of sorts recently. She shakes her head occasionally, and she gave a couple of yelps recently, even without my standing on her foot.
On the whole, I think that dogs mostly know what's good for them. They've lasted thousands of years without vets, after all. They seem to be well adapted to eating any old bits of carrion lying around, and I'm really surprised that corn cobs cause them any problems at all.
Well, they don't really have a problem with corn cobs, apparently, they just vomit them up.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Nope. What happens is some die in the wild. The argument they cope in the wild forgets that actually they don't often...they die, often slowly and painfully. This is why dumping rubbish is a bad idea, because wildlife etc do not cope with it when they find it, and why pollution or rubbish is a problem for wildlife.
We had a dog swallow a whole corn cob when I was a toddler. Not good.we treat corn cobs like cooked bones here,

Absolutely!
A little earlier and I am stood with tens of thousands of runners in the Manchester 10K. We are all going through the warm up routine.
Suddenly, 2 *girls* walk past done up to the nines, with silly heel heights - definitely not in the race.
My friend Deb who was running alongside turned to me and said "Did you notice they were both trannies?"
I confess I didn't notice; but I love the diverse nature of Manchester. If I was more aware I would have roped them in for a selfie!
Transvestites and fun run competitors crossing paths (literally).
We had a chap near my old office who used to parade around in the sort of dress a five year old might go to a party in, with a frilly pink umbrella. You'd think he would have better dress sense.
Of course, the transvestites who carry it off okay go unnoticed, but maybe that's not what some want? Or maybe some are just really bad at it. I remember seeing the website of someone who was exploring his sexuality in this way, and he just looked like what he was, a big, burly, lorry driver, but wearing a frock. A catastrophic fail, really. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Except I often find myself looking at tall plain women and thinking 'does she have big hands?'I think....0 -

I'm a sucker for a challenge/bet. At a previous workplace a female colleague bought some odd looking gel heels by some famous person (I forget who).
Anyway, she had the same size feet as me. This led to the challenge - would I wear them in the office all morning? You bet I would! (despite looking daft with socks still one).
...There was a whole quid riding on that bet0 -

DW had a womens magazine a while back. (She gets annoyed on holiday coz I read mine on the way out; then I read hers and tell her about the content before she has chance to read it !).
There was this Danish gay drag queen working in Soho who earned money through modelling womens tights. He claimed that 95% of the pictures you see on womens tights packaging are men!!
Dunno if it's true, but it's funny how it seems to rile DW :rotfl:
I can't imagine any of them are distance or fell runners - you end up with calfs like a footballers.0
