I've got mine but unless you have a Samsung you have to find your own cable as it doesn't fit in an iphone

Any make of phone with a micro USB socket will work really. Motorola, Nokia...etc.
  • Have been sending JOIN messages to 60005 since 09:38 - just had a free message back to say I'm already registered (as previously used orange Wednesdays I guess) so just had to text POWER - guess what - still waiting again!

(originally Orange broadband customer so wonder if that's why so slow!)
  • Just been told regardless of how many lines you have on an account you can only claim one battery, I queried why I couldn't claim per line as they are all used by different people and was told "it's only one per account" - punishment for paying your kids lines under one account, should have just set up an account for each phone seperate!

Terms and conditions say you can.

To obtain a Power Bar, text POWER to 365 if you’re a mobile customer or if you’re a broadband customer text JOIN plus your EE landline number to 60005 and follow the instructions we provide (texts cost 35p).
If you’re a customer with more than one mobile number or broadband plan registered to your account, you’re entitled to one Power Bar for each number or broadband plan you have with us.

Also I want to point out this - so as long as you remain EE customer you don't need to return within 60 days or get charged £5

At the end of your initial 18 month hire period, you may be entitled to enter into a new hire agreement but we reserve our right to refuse any hire request that you make.

    Got the response at 14:43.

(Free MSG) Thanks, you're already registered. Now text POWER to 60005 to get your code (text costs 35p). Customer care & T&Cs at ee.co.uk/eepower

    I wonder, why "already" registered?

I did register my mobile using my EE broadband landline number on 88141, for EE Film Club.

Just guessing now. EE, T Mobile & Orange mobile customers should already be on the list of known mobiles, so they didn't have to JOIN. People who have other services need to be added to the list of customer mobile numbers. Theoretically, therefore, I only need to join once, and I can use my non-EE mobile as if it was a EE mobile for subscribing to future offer directly, without joining again.

So, the people who have "JOIN"ed before, for another EE service, you should try texting POWER to 60005 directly,

Got a second "you are already registered." message, probably in response to my extra JOIN text.

    Got the code!

"Welcome to EE Power! Take this code xxxxxxxx to any EE store to get your Power Bar (subject to stock)."

Does anyone know if the codes have an expiry date? I'd like to get one to make sure I have it ready but I'm not sure when I'll next be passing an EE store.

Also, I'm not sure if I should be waiting for the the tablet instructions? I have a EE PAYG sim which I've had since November, and use it in a tablet that wasn't bought from EE. I could just transfer the sim into my phone temporarily and get the code that way?

What makes this such a good deal if it is going to cost £5.35 at least!

Why do so many people want one. My phone has never run out during the day and I use it a lot...am in and out of car though and with EE

Code through eventually - although did have another message in between to say they could not find my landline number and asked me to JOIN again!
  • Applied at 10:13 and code received at 14:44. I was a former Orange Wednesday Customer.
