You'll need to look at the Fare Conditions of the airline ticket and the T&C of the Online Travel Agent, then to compare, if you want to protect yourself against unwanted surprises.
  • Anyone know of any webslite or link to latest flight company offers for August 2017 to fly direct from any UK airport or Dublin airport to Los Angeles in August 201? So far I've been fumbling my way through SKyscanner but surely there's a hub of some kind online where I can locate latest promotions (like those discount code voucher sites)?

Any thoughts would be really appreciated.

Promotion for peak season a year ahead? Relax.
  • Has there been a change to the terms? I looked at booking a flexi fare and using the switch trick (but read the small print!) and it now says something about paying the difference if the fare for the new date is higher. Has anyone else noticed this?

Does anyone else that uses the Kayak site for finding flights find it confusing and/or unhelpful?

Looking for flights from London to Ecuador, the baggage fees info is baffling.

It says there is a fee but doesn't say which of the multiple airlines is charging it; it then says only hand luggage is allowed but again no specifics as to which flight this applies to??

    Try google flights dekkard.

Always double check baggage allowances with the operating air carrier's website.

You missed the AeroMexico sale by a couple of weeks. AMS - Quito return for £170. MAD - Quito return for £225.

They have long daytime stopovers in Mexico City, but since they were daytime stopovers, one could perhaps explore the city for a few hours.

But at those prices, no reason to complain.

I couldn't book enough flights, quickly enough. The sale included south and central American destinations, including Cuba for £120 return. There were some tense moments. :)

THE CHEAPER FLIGHTS WITH CHEAP FLIGHTS DON'T EXIST!

As per another excellent Moneysaving article, I took the advice given and tried using Cheapflights to plan my journey to Haiti, with a stop over in New York on the way back. It seems that Kayak and Cheapflights are one and the same, since the platform and prices are identical. However, after a whole day of searching for the exact flights and prices I wanted, I tried to click through to American Airlines to book it and that - plus the other cheaper flights - lead through to a https://www.aa.com/error/system-trouble broken link. The higher priced flights linking to AA strangely enough go through perfectly. This leads me to believe that the cheap flights offered by Cheap Flights do NOT EXIST at all. In fact, I have just called AA and they have confirmed that those flights exist but have been fully booked for some time. SO WHY is Cheapflights and Kayak STILL showing them at the top of their search engines?

In my experience if you have to phone the flight does not exist and they will try to see you more expensive.
