I was amused t'other day that Martin had posted to say basically
"Tough !!!! - it's the new forum, we are rolling it out"
But still 95% don't like it ........:(0 -
Same as poster above, I haven't seen the new site.0

Was being trialled by some users.
Then was rolled out, allegedly by accident, to everyone the other day then switched back.
You may be able to try it via the manage version option in your UserCP, but if you were not part of the original trial that may not be there as an option for you.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

People don't like change.
If you forced yourself to use it for a month, you'll probably get used to it.
The problem is, the "old" style forum is... well... old.
It may be functional but only just. Sooner or later, MSE will update to something more modern (instead of something that came out of 2002!), that will use modern browser features.
I don't initially like the look but that's only because it's unfamiliar.
Now the main site has changed/updated, the forum will follow shortly for everyone I would expect.0 -

I'd probably go blind. The problem is, the "old" style forum is... well... old.
There's a logical argument, if ever I heard one.0 -

It's a means of textual communication - making my words a different colour sadly still fails to hide the rubbish that I spout!anotheruser wrote: »Now the main site has changed/updated,
However, the 'new look' main site doesn't look half as different as the debacle that was thrust on us forumites last week.0 -
I stopped using the Main site once Martin had turned it into a format of Political Question Time. I now only frequent the forums, I will continue to do so up until or if they decide to roll that awful version they introduced.
It might look like the bees knees on a mobile or tablet, but on my netbook, laptop and desktop, it looks like a dogs dinner and is far too complex, confusing and cumbersome to use.
I have no intention of putting it on my mobile or tablet, just to use an open, public forum, as no forum is worth that much attention.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Marleyboy You Are A Legend!
Marleyboy speaks sense
marleyboy (total legend)
Marleyboy - You are, indeed, a legend.0 -
Someone with enough clout to sort out the site from top to bottom needs to take control and make MSE staff take responsibility. There's now 80+ staff in MSE Towers and despite that they can't get a simple banner change organised for the Saints days of the UK organised correctly year on year. Also we've been fed misinformation (lied to) about why the search function is broken.0
