I knew it. I knew that since you hadn't posted an update you were starting to see a future with her again. My pixie senses are never wrong. Just remember that the definition of stupid is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.

Have you checked out freegle/freecycle for house stuff? Amazing what can be extracted on occasion.

And remember you can furnish over time as long as you have a a bed to sleep on from the start.

I've gone charity shops - I support then when I can anyway.

Front room, bed & mattress and fridge freezer for about £300 - quite pleased with that.

But Ye the rest will be over time. I have the basics, which is all I need.

As the MSE policy got internet and sky tv for £21 per month including line rental - and £100 cash back! - worth taking a look if people don't have it already.

Only on occasion pixie! The thought crosses my mind.

I'm not rushing into anything! :)

I agree- I even said this to myself. Ie I couldn't return to how it was.

But eventually it would be the same. I watch my brother on the same merry-go-round with his gf.

I know it's possible that would happen.

I'm not rushing anything. That I can guarantee.

It's just refreshing having own space and speaking on equal terms.

Unless she's had some intensive CBT or a complete personality transplant it is exactly what will happen.

Completely agree. Guest I cannot believe that after all you have written, about her changing her mind and switching personalities, that you would consider that her current behaviour is actually going to last. Read back through your thread and take any 'equal terms' conversation with a massive pinch of salt.

We would be encouraging any woman who was in your position with a man to get out and stay out, and the advice is exactly the same for you.

Pixie5740 you know from what you have seen, people sometimes need several goes round before they get it.

Guest101 - have a long think about WHY you would want to be with someone who
    Lies to the police
    Lies to your friends
    Lies to you

Very true. My brother has just gone back to his gf after another blazing row where she, yet again, said some very disgusting and hurtful things. I've also been listening to my friend for 3.5 years going on and on and on and on and on and on about her bf. She wants to get married and have children (she's 39 and they've been together for 6 years) and he doesn't. They've had more crisis talks than Israel and Palestine. I'm fatigued by it all.

When next time you feel sorry for yourself remember that you chosen the way things are by your actions . You been asked how the things are and you interpreted the question as "how your relationship with ex going". You did not really want time with your son without her , did you ?
When you have lean month don't forget it was due to expense of a few hundreds you had because of her not arranging contact properly and calling police.
The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.
