impulse buying a flat ....:rotfl: ..that takes some doing!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Well we sort of thought it was quite a good idea in theory to buy another house for Mr GG's brother to live in...... found a repo and bought it in less than three weeks without really stopping to assess the situation :o. Completely mucked up our plans financially but has worked out for the best :T.

Here's a laugh for you Alex.

You know how I've gone nuts at you in the past over impulse purchases?

I thought some medical tests related to my pneumonia were going to go horribly wrong, and Mr HBS wouldn't want me anymore...and I had everything in place to essentially impulse-buy a flat :rotfl:

What a plonker I am. All is well (as I knew deep down it would be!) and now I have to cancel a mortgage...!

    HBS x

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: That's one of the funniest things I've heard in a long time, HBS.

On another note, is the flat worth you perhaps buying anyway as an investment? :)

  • I accidentally bought a house too, it happens! I only wanted to buy the 6-acre field at the other end of the village to it, but the executors insisted they wouldn't sell the two crofts separately and the other croft came with a three-bedroom house on it.

It was a repo with another buyer interested so a bit of a race to the line. We actually completed while we were on holiday in Spain.

    You see, easily done :rotfl:.
