Hi everyone!
Thrifty you probably won't read this now but just wanted to add that I understand your decision. It's something I have thought about myself but at this moment in time I think I would go completely off the rails of I didn't have to come and confess my sins and explain myself to you lot!
mothernerd boo to the stinking cold but glad to hear your movement is getting better.
Uni day for me again today. Took lunch and breakfast with me but finished early so ate the packed lunch when I got home. Lecturers have caught wind of the complaint and asked us what the issue was. Nobody else said anything so I had to speak up. They have addressed a few of the issues but think I will still put in a formal complaint as its a bit late in the day to try to change things for us now.
Made some progress on my dissertation and am going to do a little more this evening. Also need to do more interview prep.
Forgot to take anything out of the freezer for tonight's meal but found some sausages that I could cook from frozen and avoided a take away. So it's another SFD.
Spring has definitely sprung here today. It's been glorious sunshine and there are daffodils in bloom everywhere. They are my favourite flower so it's lovely to see.0 -

to say thank you for the lovely posts. Stayed away today from Fb and here till now and got loads done. I think I might keep reading occasionally (to nosey and actually really like this bunch of mad turtles) but definitely stay in the back seat and limit my online time. See how I get on.

Can proudly declare that I have all my LTW for this week sat prepped in the fridge. And it cost pence, is very healthy, filling and made completely from scratch
not to mention veggie which always brings costs down!
Also put all my snack bits into my bag, and just need to shower and pray that my 2 pairs of *good* work trousers dry after discovering them in the washing I was pegging out tonight. Whoopsie!
Collected all Jelly's new clothes and bits and bobs and going to be so excited putting her in each of the new itemsshe will look beautiful. I kondoed her washing and went and popped it into her relevant drawers after she was asleep so so far system is working
got to wash all the new stuff now. Ah well.
Off to wash my hair. Night all xx

Evening all
Applemuncher - hope dd gets better soon
Mothernerd - hope you beat that cold asap
Thrifty - hope you find the balance you seek, we'll miss you but completely understand
Lilt - had to giggle at your green lentils! Sorry to hear about your colleague but it's understandable to be relieved for yourself
Today was spendy as expected but someone was obviously looking favourably on me. The pub was doing 2 meals for the price of 1 and we bought ice cream from the shop for pudding, which was half price. So it meant my 1 hour of tutoring, paid for dinner and the ice cream

Had a bit of variable day today.
Went to the doctor today about a heap of problems. Been given about 80 new creams to try, informed that I have probably pulled or torn a pectoral muscle and it will take months to heal... and the real kicker... my other issue might be due to a gluten intolerance.
As if being a fussy eater wasn't difficult enough...
Then went out with my mum, auntie and cousin. Spent a grand total of £9.99 in order to cheer myself up as I have to get blood tests and have a needle phobia.
Well worth it, in my opinion but I will continue to sit on the naughty step for the rest of today.
Thriftylass... sorry to hear that you are finding everything unbalanced and hope that you manage to get everything sorted and come back to us soon.
Hugs.
Hope everyone is doing okay.
Hugs to you all.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Hi Fellow Ninjas,
Late check in tonight as I just got in from work. I'm buzzing with excitement.
Many many thanks for your warm well wishes today. The interview went really well and they offered me the job!!!!:j:j:j
It was a bit strange because I felt like we were just having a cozy chat but at the same time I was shaking like a leaf, I have a feeling I also croaked once or twice. How embarrassing. I was lucky though because the interviewers were very friendly and tried really hard to put me at ease. They all said it was a very good interview and asked me if they would offer me the job, would I accept it? They had another person to interview after me and said they would get in touch not long after the last interview.
After the interview I went home to get changed and went straight to work. All my colleagues asked how the interview went and all cheered me on. Not long after I came in, the interviewers rang me at work and said they would be very happy to welcome me on board and would I take the job? When I said yes and gave my colleagues (who were excitedly waiting for the news) a thumbs up, there was a mighty big roar. You might be asking why they are so excited about the prospect of me getting a new job. It's because the job is in the same place as I am working now. Presently I am an agency worker and my contract is soon to come to an end. They all wanted me to stay, so they convinced me to put an application in for a permanent post. It was a difficult decision because although it is a permanent post, my salary will drop significantly. However it is a secure job with sick pay and holiday pay and pension and besides I am nearly at the end of my debt busting journey (£2200 left to pay) so I thought it's not a bad thing to settle for a job that I love with people I get on really well with. I consider myself lucky to have had the chance to "try before I buy."
I also consider myself lucky because I had the privilege of being brief and coached by my former boss (who is now retired). Everything he assumed will be asked was asked and I answered exactly how we planned it, plus additional bits. I think I might have talked too much. (Well they did say, be yourself and I am not really a woman of few words, so there you go.)
As for the challenges, I would like to report
LTW no.7 for the whole family
Not a NSD because I had to pay parking at the interview site, (paid £2.50 which will come out of the parking fee budget of £20)
Lunch and Supper are both cooked from scratch using whatever is in the fridge or cupboard. So no spend there.
I haven't done any decluttering yet due to the preparation for this interview plus one major event coming up on Saturday. Hopefully after this weekend, I can start flycleaning, decluttering and doing some exercise. About the diet, I think I am sticking to the WW plan (filling and healthy). I haven't managed to write down and track everything i eat due to my hectic schedule but I am hoping to get back to it when I have jumped over this last hurdle on Saturday. I will also try to sell some stuff on ebay, ring rag bag for my old clothes that won't get sold on ebay or car boot, scan our old cd's and dvd's to sell on to music magpie.
BTW, thriftylass, I totally agree with your decision, although I don't think I can withdraw myself completely from this site, MSE. It has helped me a lot with my discipline and focus and I have learned so much from everybody and though we don't know each other at all, I totally feel the community spirit and supportive environment here. I would fall off the wagon completely if I withdrew from MSE forum. I have lost interest in FB. I hardly go on to it, except when my significant others send me messages and greetings and vice versa.
Sorry I wouldn't be able to mention all of you, but you all have been great! thanks so much. Let us keep marching on toward our goal."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -

Ditto! So pleased for you, benefits of permanent contract should outweigh the salary drop when you're so far along your debt-free journey.
Think I've caught your cold, Mothernerd - otherwise must have been DS1 who's kindly shared it with me... Hope you feel better soon. Happy Humpday everyone, after this we're downhill to the weekend, yay!#21 Save £12k in 2025 £16977.35/£20000
