  • Hi all,

NSD no.2 of 10 for me today.

Spent the whole day in bed, recovering from previous night shift and preparing for the 2nd one tonight.

Was meant to go to WW class at 9:30 for a weigh in but fell asleep on the couch, will try tonight's meeting at 6:30pm. Hopefully it's a good news, fingers crossed.

I was so sleepy when I got in from work, didn't even bother with tea or breakfast. I am absolutely starving but I don't want to eat too much for fear of adding an extra pound before weighing in :(

Looking forward to tonight's dinner. I will be making vegetarian spaghetti bolognese tonight. I made the same dish last week and the hungry hippos loved it. I used Quorn mince and WW sauce (only 79p from Aldi), to add more bulk and to sneak in some vegs for the kids' five a day, I added grated carrots, finely chopped red bell pepper and celery, and an experimental tin of Aldi's value baked beans. The pasta was only 20p a pack, also from ALDI. A bit of ketchup and tomato paste, italian herbs and some parsley from my pot and a dash of salt and pepper. When i wrote it down to this week's menu, they all said, yes please. With a response like that and the meal (plus some left over for packed lunches) costing less than £5, it's a good life.

Reminders from DVLA for the 2 cars' road tax due at the end of the month. Do you pay for yours monthly or as a one off payment for 6 months or one year? We have allocated the monthly payment in the budget but the savings for paying the annual fee is tempting me to use the contingency funds. Any advice?

Heard back from Paypal about the fraudulent/unauthorised payment of £335.98 and they will refund the amount to me in 2 or 3 days. Good news.

The hungry hippos loved their lunches again and their dinner money at school remains untouched. I think I will call them my young Ninja Saving Turtles now instead of hungry hippos. ;)

I might do a bit of flycleaning while waiting for the WW meeting or get my ingredients for tonight's dinner ready. Either way I am planning to have a productive hour.

Wishing you all the best as we slowly march this month away and become one month closer to being debt free. I might have some good news about my DFD but I won't say it just yet or risk jinxing it.….

I've also spent most of the day in bed, after the last two days' activities I have hit the slump.Getting about is difficult so retired back to bed and watched a film. I have brought in the rest of the washing, ranger rolled a couple of towels (it's on the Kon Marie thread, an alternative method based on army style packing, sort of worked on my very big thick towels) and more paperwork/ stationery has been weeded out plus a couple more things for the charity shop.

Not a SFD. DS3 told me his friend is coming to visit this weekend, so I have brought a planned spend forward and as I can't walk to the shops I've done an on-line freezer shop order so am now over budget but stuck to healthy options - lots of fish fillets and frozen veg, plus a few bits (no cake/ biscuits/ ready meals etc) like onions for cooking.

They are planning to re-arrange the front room in preparation for DS3's birthday next month so hoping I can get the two of them to move some larger items for me (spare shelves in the kitchen are now nearly empty due to decluttering) and possibly take more photos of things that could be sold (useful friend is much better at this than DS3). Might even get the cracks in the stairs filled in.

Today I am grateful for ranger rolling, for on-line connections (may do the bulky refuse collection request later) and for having enough (even if some of it isn't what I would choose).

    Hi everyone

    Sfd 2/15
    Food spends 7.20/80
    Fuel 0/60
    Treats 0/10

I'm another one who perhaps sets sfd too high, I do try but like yesterday I had forgot my face cream and as I'm having dd for lunch on Saturday I need to get some goodies for them as I haven't anything to make cakes etc, so went and got my face cream and other bits and when I was putting everything away I discovered I'd forgotten loo rolls!!!! I reckon it's old age, but really it's me not being organized.

Anyway off for a quick look round

    Hi guys

Sorry I am really not doing well with checking in this month :( yesterday was a planned spendy day but ended up being cheaper (ish) than expected as the meal out for MiL birthday turned into a BK take out brought home. I bought some stuff to make dinner, but as I had baked the cakes, and we had the King of Burgers late I cooked nothing and we had afternoon tea and cake.
So dinner stuffs remained untouched. I don't think I have added that receipt to my YNAb though, tut. So will have to come back and explain later :o

Today SFD #3 :j - reckon I will hit 18 again. I am hit and miss with the SFD's. I know what some people mean about needing it to keep them disciplined but also seem to spend a LOT on my spend days just to *cover* everything. It is the small things that keep me going though. I have no bread. To save a spend day just for that, I am about to go and bake some whilst making something with my new toys (*cough* lentils & seeds *cough*) for my lunch tomorrow. When all I really want to do is go to the shop buy a loaf and some chocolate and go to bed :rotfl: - so SFD target definitely helping there :)

Anyway am off to do that and get to bed. Jellytot has been a nightmare and last night I spent 90% of the time awake as she was bouncing around the house/alternately getting into my bed and sleeping with me which leaves me unable to sleep as she faceplants into the electric blanket and covers herself in dust giving me a hear attack thinking she can't breathe :( tonight I will lock her in her room if she dares to come out but she has been asleep since 6:15 - so far so good!

Night all. Back to post my orangey update then bed xx

Today I am grateful for a lovely walk at lunchtime, for my boss agreeing to me leaving early when dd has a hosp appt, for today being the day dh returns home, for finding red cord fabric for a red riding hood cape, for the satisfaction of decluttering.

Small spend for me today so no SFD and tomorrow will be a spend day too as we are planning a meal out to celebrate the house sale.

Spent on some bubbly for the new owners. They are a lovely young couple buying their first home so wanted to mark the occasion. We also bought a Mothercare voucher for the couple that introduced us to them as well as a small toy for their toddler as a thank you for saving us the estate agents fee. Even after these spends we are quids in :j

    It's a spendy day as I thought.

We went to tescimos... OH got fuel from morries which comes from his own pennies... but we did get our £5 voucher.
    :j

Have spent a grand total of £59.47 but we should have enough to do us a fair while. Hopefully.
    :o

Posted away our cheque today so counting it as well. I am very excited over that.
    :)

Diet still going well. Had to skip my cup of tea tonight in order to keep below 1200 calories. I really miss my cup of tea (although it is probably more the ginger nuts I miss).
    ;)

    Keep marching on turtleys.
    Hugs to everyone.

Thank you everyone for your hugs and messages :)

Samiszel I did my first double session this week, after work and I was so tired. Luckily it was a one off and I'll be back to different days and times for tutoring from tomorrow.

SFD number 4 today, LTW and walked dogs and swam :)
