Just posting an update. Not much off proper list but have done lots off my list! I think I might leave all the floors tomorrow as I can see me doing them today and then doing them again before the viewing!
Kitche is looking clean and clutter free! Just need to dry up and put away, then clean the sink area and sweep and mop the floor! Going to pick up ds1 from school and take him for his swimming lesson. Flying will recommence at 4.30!
Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
Sweep and mop the floor
Clean the sink, drainer and taps
Now give the drain a really good clean - who uses what?
Give anything stainless steel a really good shine - I bet you've just found a product especially for this
Charge that epilady or warm your wax, it's time to declutter your winter fur.
Tuesday - Hall, Stairs, Landing and study/Family Room or similar
Clear the floors and hoover them
15 minutes tidying this area
Dust any fluffy surfaces
Clean the downstairs loo and basin
Remove any marks from the walls/paintwork - the magic erasers work well
Go on a cobweb hunt, is it dusty behind your desk?
Tidy up shoe cupboard
Tidy up cupboard under the stairs

Hair cut and washing up done.
I need to hoover up the hair now and make an apple crumble. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Zilch list-Flying done, but dog fleeces, coats, towels and everything else run through the washing machine and pegged out. I've cut a new base for the basket ready to machine a waterproof cover for it as soon as they're dry as well.
I've spent entire day composing an email to a rescue charity that specialises in the collies, and unusually includes Collie crosses. They also have dogs that have been found as strays which they then categorise by health and behavioural problems. Some I can deal with, some I can't but with this charity it looks as though pretty much all of the information I want is upfront. I feel much, much better now that I've found a charity that I'm pretty certain will come up with the right dog for me, and as usual, I found them through the Oldies Club. If they accept me as a potential adopter I can stop actively looking all over the place and wait for the right dog.
I keep thinking there is something I should do, but of course, she doesn't need me any more. Ironically, I've been feeding three couples of birds - robins, blackbirds and wagtails on my dog walks in the mornings and evenings, so I'm still having to do two of 'our' walks, but without her. As I have a cupboard full of dog food, all the equipment and am doing the walks anyway, there's not much point in not having one, is there?
Thank you, again, everyone. It's really helped, knowing how much kindness and goodwill is out there and I feel very touched by it.Better is good enough.0 -

Between being back at work, a hospital appointment with youngest, studying and starting to empty loft room this week has flown by.
Busy week next week though as loft being sorted out and eldest is on his first school residential and I'm dreading it
Bet look at list to make one of most important stuff for tomorrowHave a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0 -
Just about to head upstairs for the bedtime run.
Helped DS explain to teacher what's been happening. He did really well bless him. She also said she's got lots of great things to tell me at parents evening - probably next month - so I've got that to look forward to.
Today I've caught up with laundry, popped to @ldi (they had some rather garish beaded hi-tops so DD is now the proud owner of some holiday footwear) I've also sorted the kitchen, done some cooking, hoovered the LR and warned DD she is on tidy time tonight while DS has a bath.
I also want to get my hair washed to tonight - tomorrow we'll be mostly out with ballet and funeral.
Right. Upstairs we go.Bossymoo

(((Honeybear))) I think Mrs Dog was very lucky to find you, and there is another collie out there who will be equally lucky to be loved by you.
(((Pigpen))) Hugs whether you like them or not, be here or not just as you like. I'll still be sending positive thoughts your way.
I have managed most of my list today, except for planning next week's lessons. I really must do this tomorrow as I'm at a conference all weekend. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

Today has been just wonderful, first job of the day was to finally finish painting the bathroom, yay, went on for far too long.
Then did our bedroom, while hubby, finished off fitting new skirting board in DS1's room. Then cleaned bathroom (will do airing cupboard next time). Then it was off for a couple of hours of paid work, picked DS2 from school, stained skirting board, while hubby picked up DS1 from piano, cooked tea, had carpet fitted, then cleaned kitchen (DS1 room above kitchen, so was very dusty, from all the banging that had been going on).
Then me and DS1 refilled most of his room, he has just a few more items on landing to be put away tomorrow.
