Yay for the extra £200 :T It's nice when that happens isn't it. I'm trying to get extra by doing eBay & FB selling. I'm not getting loads but every little helps eh
Bless you, I hope you feel better soon. Fingers crossed that Him can work from home soon and that you get more time with each other. My first love was a long-distance relationship and I remember the feeling when he caught his train on a Sunday and went home. Horrible horrible horrible. But the time spent together was always quality timeAt least he has you to give him MSE advice for chipping away that debt!! :T
Well done on the weight loss :T I'm losing weight too so I'll be cheering you on! xxxThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thanks Becs, yeah it is tough. I did it once before too, said I'd never do it again.... and then he got this job..... still, everything happens for a reason I guess. He sent me a lovely text earlier, so that cheered me up a bit.
Oh fleabay! I really dislike it, but it does help bring the pennies in, especially with surplus baby stuff etc. I've sold a few things on gumtree too recently, not sure if you've tried that? It's free and none of the hassle of posting too.
Good luck with the weight loss too lovely.

Forgot to add earlier, I cashed in my clubcard vouchers earlier too. We have £40 of days out vouchers to use in half term, and £30 of pizza express vouchers for a meal (or two) out.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £50,378.61

all sounds pretty good meando - well, apart from bad tummy/low mood but those are outweighed by all the good stuff you're achieving and great stuff on the horizon. and the weight loss is amazing- the best part is having people notice :j
half term plans sound good too, lots of things to do with O with the days out vouchers and eating free pizza sounds like a winning plan to mexx

Oooh, we need a pic Hummingbird!
Mine has, thankfully, reverted to a nicer colour now after a lot of washes.
Not a great sleep last night, had an awful dream about spiders climbing all over me!!! Again, I was on the internet late, so I have to avoid that no matter what.
In money matters, I'm £15 up after a sale of an item online yesterday, and had a few more orders come in which I need to get printed and packed tonight. I'm not counting the money from these as it will sit in my business account and go towards more materials when I need them.
£13 spent from my purse today on Ds's school trip money.
Not much else to report really, only three days until payday and I don't really need to spend out on anything, so there should be around £140 left in the account which will get shifted to a savings pot as long as there are no nasty surprises.
I dug out the wii fit last night and did half an hour or so on that, will try and do a little bit every night that I'm free. I forgot how good the boxing was for stress relief!!!

I've been doing a bit more digging about the PPI rejection letter today. On it, they've listed 4 account numbers of loans I've had over the years. I phoned to check the dates of them, thinking they may be referring to one of the later loans which I know didn't have PPI - turns out they have them all dated as 1/1/2005 - which is ridiculous! I pointed this out to the guy on the phone who was actually quite rude and of no help at all.
I phoned the financial ombudsman for some advice and they recommended sending off a request for an SAR, so I've now drafted the letter and it will be ready to post off with my cheque for £10, tomorrow.
They said that if the bank are saying there was no PPI and there's no records, then there's not a lot they can do about it.
We'll see where this goes then, it's worth a try for a tenner.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £50,378.61

I've skipped a million posts because I FOUND IT!!!!!!
Oh my goodness. That is a MUST HAVE for any household. You're going to be a millionaire.
LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! So hard. So much.
Anyway, that post about your new designs was as far as I got, and may I just say before I delve back in and forget, Levi you know far too much about hair dye, women matters and water beads. Sometimes that dar of mine just veers way off to the right...Love ya!!

I am all caught up!!
You've been up and down but there have been lots of good moments in the last week mrs. I don't know if you notice, but when you read it condensed it is obvious you're managing yourself a bit better!
Wicked news about the fitbit. My mum is overtaking me. I can't have a cancer patient overtaking me, seriously, so I am off out for a nice long walk tonight!! :rotfl: my legs are continually in a state of slight ache. :rotfl:
Sorry about the tummy bug/food poisoning. Sounds similar to what I did to myself. An overload after simple food just doesn't work sometimes. I need to do it a bit more gently next time. Like have an ice cream.. :rotfl:
Bless Him for noticing the weight loss, bringing DD around to play with DS (how do they get on?!) and sending nice texts. I do hope his working away is not for too long. There is a lot of pressure on you both at the moment. I do hope you can figure it out, but hummingbird is right, you can sure help him kick his debt quick
Gutted about the PPI. I used to sell it you know. This is how I know I never ever ever had it. Because when I was taught what it was at a well known credit card company I started working for at 18 I said, rather loudlythat it was a scam and I didn't want to sell it. I can still to this day tell you what financial bracket you've been pegged in by the first 4 numbers on your debit/credit card. We would gun for certain numbers to take out PPI and card protection because it earned us a £1 bonus per sale on the bigger earners. I quit after 3 months, detested it and refused to sell
:o Get onto them. Hope it pushes them!! xxx
