I read orchard too Apple, and thought the same!!!

Can't wait for the water beads to arrive Lilty :)

Well, old sofa's just been picked up and I'm now £150 better off. Feel a little but 'meh' as the sofa was originally bought for this new house when we moved in, and I bought it with some money my darling Nan left me, but brushing those thoughts aside before they get me down.

I will put the £150 in the bank as soon as I can get to a bank (not easy these days!), but I hope I won't have to touch it. £100 of it will definitely be paid off the debt, but i'md like to make it the full £150 if I can.

I've done a quick stocktake of the freezer and made a shopping list of essentials I'll need to buy before the week's out. I shall be sticking to that list like glue as well. :)

Signing off for the night now, feeling a bit lost for what to do int he house tonight, so am off to try and find something productive to do for an hour and a half before my 2nd early night in a row.

    Sleep well all.

    Xx

Well, that didn't go to plan MeandO, did it...

Attempted to sort through cookery books - first one I picked up had a lovely message written in it from the ex as was an anniversary present from years ago - got upset.

Decided to do some baking - out of butter.

Considered dying my hair - but really couldn't be $rsed.

Phoned Him for our nightly catch up - him wasn't very chatty (never is on the phone! He's not a phone person, but insists he likes speaking to me every night..) Him said I sounded miserable - i got upset.

    *sigh*

Am I able to cancel all weekday evenings from here on please? I just can't seem to deal with them.

    Xx

Finally whooping around a few replies as I have been rather slothful!. How are ya feeling tonight chicken? Hope the crafty stuff comes soon, lil O is so lucky to have you being such a hands on & fun mummy, the spiderman thing sounds amazing.. :D Hope the extra (decent) sleep is making you feel better also, you sound super productive. I'm a bit rubbish at the crafty stuff but we are getting into growing seeds..which is a start lol. And we cook! :) LL did a cool project at school the other day where they were each given a mini cactus and they got to decorate the pot however they liked -and the cactus with sticky eyes/nose/moustache and they have them all lined up at school on display at the mo, I saw them when I picked him up, super cute! He is getting a bit greenfingered, I may be raising a Alan Titchmarsh Jr lol xx

sorry to carry on about it but do you think it would be considered slightly insane if i bought a massive fish tank and filled it up with water beads just so i could swoosh my arms around in it all day? (no fish obviously) .. you can buy them in massive quantities on amazon.

    Hello you :kisses3:

Glad you seem to be feeling a bit brighter. The cactus sounds wonderful too!

Yes it would be insane to fill a fish tank up with them... I'm planning at least a bathtub full to roll around and squish in! :D
I can't believe I'm so behind on the water bead front - I feel like I've missed out all these years. Hopefully they should arrive by tomorrow and we can have some fun with them over the weekend. :)

Crafty stuff has been dispatched too, so hoping that turns up today. I have a lovely postman who lets himself round the back garden and leaves packages in the summerhouse if I'm not in, which I'm so grateful for - saves me going down to pick them up which is really difficult with our local office's opening hours.

The seed growing is awesome Levi. Have you done the cress in egg shells which you can make into funny faces - O did that at school a little while ago and loved it, although looked at me like I'd gone off when I tried to encourage eating it...:o Or indoor herbs are fab too. :)

I was much better last night thanks hun as I kept myself busy - that really is the key with me. I started to get a bit miserable and was rather stressed and fed up after work, but started the pirate ship last night. :T I sawed all the wood for the timber frame, much to the bemusement of my (male) neighbours who had obviously never seen a woman use a saw (better than they could :D;)) before.
Unfortunately my drill died before I could screw the frame together, but my Dad has two and said I can borrow one of his when I go home. :)

Then I dyed my hair... although made the mistake of talking on the phone whilst the dye was on - BIG MISTAKE! Lost track of time and ended up looking like an extra from the Adams family.
5 showers later (neither of my showers will come off of the wall!), and much scrubbing of the hair with vosene and washing up liquid (take the dye out a bit), it is a more acceptable, yet darker than normal, colour. No-one's commented on it yet at work, so I may just have got away with it. :D Only 3 showers tonight then! :rotfl:

I'd ordered an online shop to be delivered tonight, but have cancelled it and am going to go to Aldi instead. It's a bit of a drive out of the way, but will still be much cheaper and as O is at his Dad's tonight, I'll have chance to do so.

Best try and look busy for a bit...

    Have a good day all
    xx

you *have* been missing out. YEARS!

my wife had several 'omg that wasn't meant to happen' moments with hairdye - there is an awesome product called 'colour b4' which is actual magic. i had to help her a few times whack that on and hey presto it takes you right back to how it was before the mistake. boots and superdrug do it :) but yes i also has several evenings with her washing it 20,000 times with vosene, fairy and head n shoulders :)

i sound a bit of an expert!

    ginge! ;) x
