Ta-dah.... one of these Lilty:
Just a little part of 'plan garden'
Herbs were previously stuck in an old tub that was too small for them and not so pretty, so this is their upgraded home.
I feel very old and very past it, getting excited about a wooden planter. Really.
And yes, sorry if I rambled on a bit on your diary. To this day, the reflux thing still fills me with fear and panic for anyone experiencing it, so I know exactly how you're feeling, honey. xxMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £50,378.61

So, money is tight until payday, and I mean tight, with about £70 in the bank account after today.
I had to fill the car with diesel this morning, but chose not to fill it up like I usually do, so only put £30 in there which should last for a week or so if I'm economical with it.
All of the bills are paid, so the only thing I will need to spend on is a little more diesel, possibly, and groceries. The fridge and cupboards aren't exactly well-stocked at the moment, but there's plenty for packed lunches for us both. I will make do with what's in the freezer/cupboards for evening meals, but I may have to pick up a few more bits for Ds.
Oh, and Ds needs a new drinks bottle for school after chewing through the old one...
Next weekend will have to be a frugal one though.
In a way, I'm almost enjoying the challenge if you know what I mean. Cancelling that overdraft facility was the best move I made in a long time as I know I wouldn't even be trying to rein it in if that was there now.
Tonight I need to wash Ds's school uniform (as we only have two crested jumpers that fit him presently), and I might do a freezer inventory so I know what I have to use up. Another easy night for me methinks so I can try and keep up with these early nights.
Have a good day all

Oooh like the herb wheel! With two terriers though it would need to be about 4 times the height :rotfl:Must use my stash up!0

Yes indeedy knit Witch!
Well, the budget may get a bit of a boost tonight after all, as someone is coming to look at the last big bit of furniture I need to get rid of which will net me £150. Hoping to pay as much as I can of that off the debt though, so may just pretend it never existed and pay it off the loan...or at least £100 of it anyway...Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £50,378.61

LOVE the herb wheel - brilliant!!
I've just caught up with the last two or three pages of your diary, but won't comment on much as I think I'd need to catch up with more before I did.....Just to say though I'm totally with you on the lack of sleep thing!!! I slept really well last night having gone to bed earlier - I have a night owl tendency and what has been happening with me is a cycle of - get to bed too late - then overtired - can't sleep - keep getting up - make cuppa - sleep for a while - wake up - get up etc etc etc. By morning totally wrung out.
It's amazing how much better you feel if you sleep well so I hope that improves for you soon xx£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

Herb wheel is awesome and gorgeous!! I am jealous as I have no garden. Mum and dad have all of their herbs in old tyres turned inside out so they are sitting on the rims at the bottom and have soil filling them and all sorts in there. it controls the runaway mint, but the thyme is almost a tree these days :rotfl:
When are your tax credits due in? 4 weekly remember. £70 is fine. Meal plan, don't fill the car up all the way and coast to the finish line with lots of crafting and baking
Speaking of baking... smartie cookies?!?! I need these in my life!
Love you lots woman, and don't be silly about rambling on my diary. I have read it through like 7 times already and it is exceptionally useful and has stopped my panicking. She was well enough for nursery this morning and her nursery nurse was amazing about it all as they aren't supposed to take *poorly kids* in especially those with tummy issues. But she knows Jelly inside out and knows what is normal, and sadly this isn't far from that so she was happy to take her and happy she is getting seen!
Just remembered we have the dentist in 20 mins! *runs* xxxx

Ooh, I loved the tyre idea Lilty, but I couldn't seem to get hold of any old tyres - I wanted to do something like this dinosaur garden for DS, and there's also some with mini gravel construction sites and diggers... Will resort to using plastic tubs when I get some though.
Yes, £70 should do me fine tbh, although I have just spent £4.75 on some water beads for fun with Ds this weekend. Google them Lilty - you will be in awe!!!!
I forgot that my folks had sent us £15 'fun money' which we didn't spend last weekend, so it's still in my purse and will come out of that.
Smartie cookies were absolutely amazing tbh - all squidgy and gooey and not hard and crumbly. That reminds me, I have a big tube of smarties left, so may make some more this weekend or smartie muffins.I'd gladly send you some, but with Jelly's tummy issues and your diet, I don't think it would be too kind of me! The minute I find a steak & spinach cake recipe it's your ok...
Good luck with the dentist, reminds me - I still need to book appointments for me & Ds.I hate the flippin' dentist.
Tax credits are not until after payday unfortunately as were last paid on 29th, but we should be fine with what we have. I'm looking at it as a challenge!

I read 'orchid' as 'orchard' and wondered how you fitted it into the flat and why you had never mentioned it before!
Good luck with the frugalness, meando xNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
