Well that's put me on a downer for the night... Have got home to a letter from lloyds saying I never had PPI on the loan so they've closed the complaint. I know I did, but have no way of proving it.

Definitely read Martin's advice regarding what to do if this happens - I think he's got a whole article on it. If you know you had it (which you do) they shouldn't be getting away with this.
Don't give up!!!!! xx

Thanks both, I had a quick look at it Hummingbird and it looks like I'll have to go down the ombudsman route.
The bank have listed about 4 or 5 loan account numbers at the top of the letter they sent me, but I have no way of knowing when these loans were taken out as I no longer have the paperwork for them. I know I have had around 4 or 5 loans with the bank over the years, but last time they said there was no record of the very oldest loan account number (the one I had PPI on ), so either they've miraculously found it, or its the wrong loan they're referring to.
Anyway, I'll leave that fight for Monday.
I have tried to have another look at YNAB tonight, as I really do need to get my head around it, but with around £50 in the bank until payday and only fuel to pay out on, (I have some money in my purse which will go towards groceries if needed), there really isn't a lot I can do with it presently!
I started to put all of my recurring payments in, but got confused as to whether I should 'pretend' I get paid on the 1st of each month and all of the bills come out after that, or do it as it actually is, with some bills coming out at the end of the month and some the next month - this is the bit that confuses me. I'll search for a webinar about it on youtube I think.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £50,378.61

It's OK Me&O.. I have £13.71
(Left of £6k overdraft so not even real money) You're positively rolling in it!
I'm afraid I am no good at all on the YNAB issues but maybe Lilty aka the Oracle will be back soon:) Regarding PPI... they have a right cheek on that.. seems a bit convenient for them to just say you didn't have it, were I you, I would deffo complain to the Ombudsman if need be and get them to cough up. You reminded me that I hadn't heard back from my Barclay one the other day (Morgan Stanley) I submitted the application online but never had a confirmation which was meant to follow shortly. I'll have to chase that next week. Hope your evening and weekend are pleasant, don't let anyone getcha down x- on a mission to be debt-free by the end of 2017 -

Hi MeandO, I'm sorry for not keeping up with your diary, I had subscribed but I had a bit of time off last month and am only just slowly catching up
Anyway I can totally relate to feeling down in the evening. The internet is absolutely fantastic, and the support on here in particular is amazing, but I tend to find myself spending too much time on it and then I feel like I've wasted my evening when I could've been doing something productive. I know it's not the same situation as you but I understand.
I hope that your ppi issue gets resolved. As you said, you know you were mis sold it, so I'm sure the ombudsman will help
I promise I'll keep more updated on hereBig loves x

Hi loopybecs, lovely to see you.
Yes, the interweb is brilliant, as you said, but I can lose DAYS in front of my laptop if I allow myself to! I've made a conscious effort not to turn it on to 'browse' unless I really need to use it for something, and it's definitely helped.
The one evening I was online before bed I really struggled to sleep, so that says a lot I guess.
Much love

Morning, hope the weekend was kind to you all. :heart2:
We had much fun with the water beads, which arrived on Friday. They were a big hit with Ds and Him's daughter and the grown ups too! I didn't get the crafty bits out as the kids were having way too much fun just playing with toys, so will save that for another day.
On the money front, I have been paid some money I was owed, so am £200 better off. I had to fill the car up and buy a few bits which cost £65, but I think that was all of the spends this weekend. The rest of the money will sit in the account as a buffer until payday (with the intention of not spending it), and will then get transferred back to one of the house/car/savings pots from whence it came originally.
On the mood front, I'm not so good today.
Him has gone away to work again which always makes me sad; I'm really tired as didn't sleep too well and have a bad tummy after a touch of food poisoning methinks, so not feeling very chipper today.
Him and I did have a chat this weekend about the future and He doesn't plan on working away for more than a year. There is even the possibility of him changing to working from home a few days a week in the next few months, so we both have our fingers crossed for that. He basically needs to build up some savings to have money behind him to fund a business and to pay off some debt, so there is light at the end of the tunnel. It's just a case of sitting it out with this situation at the moment I guess.
This morning, I have chased (again) the will writing service I bought through one of the big deals companies, and asked them to correspond via email as they don't seem to be calling me back to sort it.
I've also cancelled my online WW membership as I've found a cheaper, more user-friendly version (nutracheck) which is only £3.99 a month for the app version. I think WW was around £12 a month.
I'm happy with my diet progress atm. After losing track for a week or two, I've really changed my way of thinking and am on the wagon, yet still having treats occasionally so I don't feel deprived.
I'm pretty sure I've lost a few more lbs this week, but we'll see on Wednesday. Him commented on how much weight I'd lost too, said it was really noticeable.
Anyway, tonight I have some orders to print and pack, and a t-shirt to make for an event for Ds. That is all I plan on doing tonight as I will be having an early night for sure.
The PPI can wait until tomorrow, I don't have the energy to look into it today.
Monday hugs to you all
