Yes the turtles are a fantastic bunch Me&O if you're up for some serious organising of yourself to hit targets :D speaking of which I ought to slink back in there and apologise for absence/give up for the month and start again in June!

Him's DD sounds like a bit of a diva. Jellytot has the tendency to throw those kind of wobblers but we clamped down on it HARD and fast and she has been a lot better since then. There was no way a 3 year old was going to be ruling my house and it will be the same until the moment she leaves for her own home!!! ;) I can see how it would upset a lot of balance in your life, and cause issues with Him. I would not be able to deal with it myself.

As for shaving it down to under 2 years :) wahoo! Thats no time at all lady :) xxx

Thanks both, have just taken a look at the turtles thread and, to be honest, think I'd struggle to keep up! I'm not so good at keeping up with challenges, and beat myself up when I don't see them through, so will pass for now, but if ever I find the iron will and determination that I've been hiding so well throughout the years, I know where to come!

This afternoon I've purchased some bulbs and plants for my garden from a linky on the gardening thread - lots of 'free' plants (;)), just paying postage of £5.95 a piece. I have ended up with over 200 plants for £24.89 delivered which is an absolute bargain, considering.

I currently have nil plants in my garden (except for a blueberry bush which is going to the ex's!) so this will be a great start. :)
All recorded and accounted for in YNAB too. :)

Feeling a bit pee'd off with the world tonight to be honest.

Him seems to have forgotten I exist, I know he works long days, but it takes 30 seconds to send a text whilst he's on a cigarette break, right? Yes, Him smokes. A lot. :(

My parents or family never phone me. Ever.
I used to phone my mum and dad every night without fail, but now I've taken to doing it every other night, I just find We have nothing to say, yet my mum seems to have that tone to her voice that says she's annoyed because I haven't called for a day. But they never ever phone me for a chat and to see how I'm doing.
I bet they call my ex before they call me, just to ask him how he is. In fact, I'd put money on it!

Same with my siblings. I have one of each - I never hear from them.

I'm itching to get my garden plans underway, but with money tight, no-one to help me and lack of time and skill for the hard bits, I'm really struggling.
I've been out in the garden tonight, marking stuff out and drawing plans, but that's as much as I can do, I physically can't do this on my own and I guess it's just highlighted the fact that I am very much a one-girl team now. Feels kinda rubbish that I have no-one around anymore.

Feeling very alone at the moment :(

  • You aren't on your own on here ((hugs)). Families can be hard work - I know mine can be. Have you thought about sharing the garden? http://www.landshare.net is good for finding people to help with the garden, but you could also see if there is a local 'man shed' group near you. http://menssheds.org.uk these are groups of usually retired men, who need things to do.. I bet they'd be happy to come and help you with your garden ;) xx

Oh Stepup, that's a lovely idea, have had a look on the map and unfortunately there's none in my area - which surprises me with the amount of old folk around here! Thank you though xx

I'm hoping once I've been able to borrow some of my Dad's tools when I'm down there next week, I'll be able to get on with it myself a bit more. I have to remind myself I can't do it all at once though I guess and it will get done bit by bit... I am so impatient with these things though. :o

Thank you for the lovely message too Levi, which was so thoughtful, it made me cry buckets! I was suitably cheered up by the time I went to bed.

This morning was Ds's Sport's Day, so his Dad and I duly went along and cheered him on. Poor little monkey got upset at one point when he couldn't find his drink which the teachers had left inside , so his Daddy came to the rescue and bought him one from a stall and went and sat with him cross-legged amongst all the kids. :D He is a great Dad. Although things didn't work out with us, I'm lucky to have found such a wonderful Dad for my little boy.

Ds is at his Dad's tonight, but I promised the ex I'd bring food round, so we're having dinner together and I need to take the BBQ round, which is his too. After that, I'm going to go home and fill my herb wheel with some of the soil I bought this morning (£1.99 for a big bag in Home Bargains) and transplant some of the existing herbs I have into their new home. :D

I MAY also start digging up the ground to start my plans... we'll see how I get on with it.

Hope you have a good day all

Hey lovely MeandO - just doing a bit of cheerleading:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

Shame we can't help each other out with our gardens - I don't have any funds at all to improve mine, so cutting the grass and weeding is all I ever seem to do! Still love it though and love watching the little animal and birdie visitors!! :-) xx
