Yes I agree with Levi, I think you are a super interior designer!!
Yes it hurt. It will hurt more handing them over to Him. I always have a square of Green & Blacks 85% to lean on in hard times I suppose.. :rotfl:
Sofa delivery man is from up my way thenayup me duck!!
Tinned tomatoes on toast sounds.. erm.. well. Ok. I can't really do tinned tomatoes unless there is an abundance of garlic and pepper and basil!
Am sorry to remind you of hard times. I blooming love those things. You may now turtle me with discussions of toast. I amn't allowed
Turtle.
Yes turtle. Stupid auto-correct. Torture with a U instead of an O produces turtle. PMSL. Turtle me away... xx

You couldn't afford me Levi! lol!:rotfl:
Joking aside, I probably could have done it for next to nothing with a charity shop shelf find, some wrapping paper and a tester pot, but these days I don't have the luxury of time to browse for bargains unfortunately.
You could possibly have a go with some superhero wrapping paper though LL - a bit of PVA glue watered down and you could make LL a superhero shelving unit or little table if you can find anything suitable in a charity shop? Sure LL would have a ball doing it too...
Found this for some inspiration:

So, I have been AWOL tonight as I have been moving furniture around my lounge ALL EVENING! I've even masking-taped the new furniture layouts on the carpet to see what fits best... It looks like a rectangular hominids scene in my lounge tonight with various cubes and rectangles in white outlines on the floor lol!:rotfl:
I think I have it sorted though.... Am keeping the 4 seater sofa, the cuddler sofa and the incredibly long footstool. The 2 sweater sofa and the funky swivel chair shall be sold.
I think...
I have managed to get some washing done, tidy the garage ready for the surplus furniture, load the car for the tip and charity shop tomorrow and make ds's lunchbox, so not all frivolous furniture fun.
Goodnight all

I was up Apple, as my darling son decided to wake at 4.30am this morning and, after a drink, wee stop and back to bed, he didn't go back to sleep, but sang happily and had his musical sheep on loop for the following 2 hours.
Needless to say, I'm shattered today but did get sooo much done, including grouting the tiles
The new furniture is lovely and the lounge finally feels like a nice cosy place to be.the ex loved the furniture so much too that he's had the 2 seater sofa and lovely swivel chair that won't fit in mine, for his house, so we've been carrying furniture back and forth round the corner today!
Will update more tomorrow, struggling to keep my eyes open tonight, I'm that tired, I feel I'll.
Goodnight all

LMAO at you putting furniture masked onto the floor. Been there, done that. We are soulest of soulmates.
I don't even know what turtling me is.
So glad your furniture is yummy. How you got rid of a swivel chair is beyond me though. My inner 4 year old needs that. Badly.
I should have been asleep 2 hours agoxxx

Did you also find yourself sitting within the masked off sections where the sofa 'should be' though?? Realised what I was doing and thought I'd finally lost it - I was even lying on the floor within the box at one point lol! :rotfl:
I know. The swivel chair was super-stylish too. Slightly retro and very uber-cool. I tried it in my lounge... I made Oscar's Dad drag it in from the garage with me and try it in various places before accepting it wouldn't fit... He is over the moon with his new 'bond chair' in his mancave and 2 seater though, and I know he wouldn't have been able to afford new furniture for a looooong time, so I'm pleased he's pleased. He's eagerly awaiting Sunday now so he can read his paper in, swivel round for his coffee and swivel back to his footstool to put his feet up lol.
We're going to sell his (our) old sofa and a chair and whatever that makes will be paid off the debt. Less than I intended to pay off it, but I don't mind under the circumstances.
I kept the ridiculously long 'walk the plank' pouffe though- will take a picture at the weekend.
I hardly stopped yesterday...
I took a car full of rubbish to the tip, so that's lots more space in the garage.Ran loads of errands in my village that I had been putting off, booked a dr appointment, grouted the tiles, played 'musical sofas' around the neighbourhood
, stripped my bed, including the super-thick mattress protector thing and washed the lot and dried it on the line + one more load of washing, put various pictures and photos up for the ex, moved his lounge around a bit for him, sorted out some pictures and stickers in O's room at his Dad's, went on a cushion shopping mission - bought 4 lovely red spotty and blue beachy cushion for the new lounge
played with my friend's gorgeous giggly seven month old baby for a while, picked up some grocery shopping and picked O up from school.
Managed to tick everything off apart from painting a small patch of wall above the hob which I'll do at the weekend.
This 'things to achieve' list thing is definitely motivational and I shall be trying to keep it up. Today I'd like to get the PPI paperwork filled in that came yesterday and confirm my electricity meter number with the new supplier.
Tonight, all I need to do is drop our old stair gates off to a friend, pick up a bit of shopping and clean the bathrooms.
A small list today in comparison.
Not such good news - my poor Mum has been very poorly and back in hospital again. I didn't find out until a day later, but in a way I was kind of grateful for that. She asked the family not to tell me as she knew I'd be worried sick and far away from home and she knows how stressed out I've been lately. I do wish I could do something to make it all better, but unfortunately they're running out of options for her
