It's payday today, so I've moved money to my various 'pots' - Christmas/birthdays, car ins/tax maintenance, household pot and £200 to the bank of Mum & Dad.

I completely forgot about the small payrise I had this month too, so I shall be paying that £60 to the loan as an extra payment. :)

    Hey you

Agreed with step - that list and the fact you got it done was pretty incredible. Easy to see what motivates you and what the right circumstances are for you to get active. I am the same :) write a list and get some time to myself, bang the music on and off I go like a human whirlwind.

Glad that O at least will get the use of the chair ;) and the ex. hahaha!! And you're very nice letting him have it considering you could have got more for selling it!!

I did too sit down on the floor. I may also have lay down, with my head at either end to see how it felt. I may also have made the delivery guys help me move it to three places when it finally arrived :rotfl: 12 weeks I lived without it!!!

Am so sorry to hear about your mum hun. My mum is always the same trying not to worry me. I really hope they can find something to work... Lots of love to you. Be kind to yourself xx

Thanks all, you are all truly lovely. :A

Well, I have just finished filling in my PPI claim paperwork... let's see how this one turns out.

I'm not holding out a lot of hope as it was nearly 15 years ago and I don't have any of the paperwork (neither do Lloyds apparently...) but I do still hold the same account. It's worth a try anyway.

The whole way I was sold the loan was shockingly corrupt anyway. I was told it was my only option as Lloyds decided to recall my student overdraft two months after I graduated, for no reason which, according to the account terms at the time, I was allowed for 2 years post-graduating anyway. Then, the woman told me to continue to work to enable me to pay off the loan, I should get myself a reliable car - yadda yadda yadda - then I would not be accepted with PPI as I was 'a risk' to the bank as I had yet to receive my first salary payment. Oh if only I knew then what I know now...:mad::mad:

Anyway, hopefully something good comes of it.

Put in a letter with it that details all of the things above saying how mis-sold you felt it all was at the time. As you know mine was almost as old as yours and I had no paperwork (and I suspect they did not either, only that they could trace the loan existed due to having the same current account, like you do) so I think you will end up with a case as strong as mine and as you know, that ended surprisingly well :) And if not, nothing lost! Mine was a £5k loan over 2 years which I actually paid off 1 year early (obviously they don't have record of that happening) but I when I researched similar cases I was led to expect about £600-£1400 and ended up right in the middle of that :D x x

    Hi Levi x

Yes, I wrote a rather strongly worded, yet factual, account of what was said and how I was mis-sold the ppi AND the loan in my opinion. Have posted it on the way home, so fingers crossed...

Crikey, mine was for a £10k or £12k loan (I can't remember which), and I did pay it off a year early too.

Oh my flippin keyboard is mis-behaving again, not sure why it won't let me enter paragraph spaces! grrrrr.

So, its Friday night, I'm home alone... although getting used to this I think. I was kind of happy to come home to my house tonight (via the ex's to see O for half an hour though :)). I think this house and I are slowly coming to terms with each other!

So, the scales I ordered with the last of the Sky gift card came... and whilst I'd love to believe I can lose a stone in 30 seconds, I think it's unlikely, so they're going to be sent back on Monday as they're pretty unreliable.

I also spent £14.99 from my birthday budget today, so have transferred that across to the main account.

I chased my energy switch again - it seems there's problems with the gas transfer AGAIN, so the lady is going to call me back next week. Getting so sick of this now.

Off for a shower and a bit of a pamper, have a good weekend all.
