Garden den didn't happen - too hot for the girls. An i door one was deemed brill + cool, so mummy ego has been stroked! Now it's a little cooler and more shaded, they are in the garden - they get on so well together, it's a friendship I shall be cultivating!

You're absolutely right Apple! No chance of that I'm afraid, although O is loving the space in the lounge at the moment and has decided we don't need sofas...

I'm still here, just not really felt much like posting this past week, think I needed a bit of a break from MSE to be honest.

On the money front, I received the rest of the money for the old sofas, so have paid £400 of it off the loan. The other £100 I used to buy a few bits for the house, including some materials I needed for the tiling and coving etc. and a lamp for my lounge and a lovely turquoise blue shelf thing which I obviously needed! I put the shelf up in the hall last night and it's lovely. The house is slowly starting to feel more homely and like mine now.

Something weird is going on with my keyboard and I can't seem to make paragraph spaces now, so excuse the blocks of text. grrrrrrrr. It's not allowing me to select smilies either!
There's still money in the bank with 5 days until payday. I need to fill up with petrol tomorrow and have ordered an online shop for delivery on Monday, which has come in at around £36. Other than those, there's no reason to spend any more money.

I still haven't got round to kondo-ing, but I have turned all of my clothes out of my wardrobe tonight, sorted a load for ebay/charity and hung everything up neatly. I'm hoping to find the will to tackle the boxes and everything else in there sometime this coming week, then I'll start on the drawers. I'm finding I'm having to do things in short bursts at the moment, I don't seem to have the will to tackle any big jobs, so am just doing what I feel like doing when I feel like doing it.
Not much else to report really, there are a few other things going on in my life but don't really feel like talking much about that presently, so will do so at a later date. Lets just say I'm gonna find next week a bit difficult, so may be on here a lot.

Sorry for the wishy-washy post, not feeling the love at the moment, but haven't completely fallen off the radar.

^^^^ oooh, now it's letting me put spaces in! :)

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend, it is gloriously sunny here today but the wind was so strong and blustery. It did mean I got two lots of laundry washed and line-dried super quick though including my big kingsize duvet and sheets :)

    Love to you all

Lovely to hear from you. I tend to disappear from MSE when I can't get my head on the right way around. Don't worry, you will get it sorted. Slow and steady wins the race!!

Lovely to hear you are slowly making the house yours. That is a huge step forward. If you are happy in your own space, you are happy with everyone else and their space so says Ms Kondo. So make your space your happy place and the rest will fall into place.

Just so you know she also recommends that your tidying up and decluttering will take 6 months ;) so she is all about the slow and steady too!

I got my bed lined washed, on the airer in the space between two giant wide windows so it dried super quick too with that outdoor smell even though it was inside! And back on the bed... along with a huggable snuggably soft fitted bottom sheet which is super thick brushed cotton. Thanks to my Pop for that! :D bless him.

Am with apple on the daily hugs for the week ahead. Be good, keep yourself happy in whatever ways you can and try and relax. Maybe you can take up yoga with all that room in the living room ;) xxx

  • Hey

Sorry I've been missing all weekend down the caravan and am off on holiday tomorrow for 2 weeks too so will catch up properly when back.

Thought of you last night, with regards to not feeling at home in your home. I treated myself to a DAB radio for my bedroom and I love it :j. Made it feel all homely. Whilst I was with ex, he always had the TV on in the bedroom, and I'd forgotten how much I love listening to the radio when I wake up. Plus its a portable one so I can take to the caravan at the weekends too!

Well done on the weightloss. I seem to have put on half stone BEFORE my hols!! Was hoping to shift half stone before to give me some flex but hey, not to be. Will have to work very hard when I get back to shift it! Fingers crossed my clothes will at least fit still

    Take care x

Hello all, Just showing my face for a wee while...:)

Oh I wish I could do yoga Lilty, but I'm just not flexible AT ALL, never have been! I might re-start the 30 day shred tonight though, although be more realistic with myself and not get annoyed if I can't do it every day. I'm thinking 3-4 times a week is better than none at all, right?!

Hope you're having a lovely holiday Scuba. :)
Funny you should mention the radio in the bedroom, I've been looking at a DAB & bluetooth radio for a while now for my 'upstairs'. I only have the TV on evenings once a month if that, but I always have music on in the house. I need something I can have in my bedroom and move easily to the room I use as my office when I'm working at home. I even ordered one on Amazon a little while ago, but decided I could do with saving the money this month, so cancelled it. Maybe next month I'll treat myself. ;)

I have COMPLETELY fallen off the diet wagon this week, resulting in sharing a huge indian takeaway last night :o but am being saintly again today and am thoroughly back on it.
I've just ordered some new bathroom scales as mine are giving up the ghost. Didn't cost me anything as I used the last credit on the £100 prepaid card from Sky - to the penny! ;):D

I need to pop to a DIY store at lunchtime and buy a grouting tool thingy to grout the kitchen this week. The grout I kindly had free from a colleague, so that's saved me some more pennies.

Still struggling big time with motivation and enthusiasm for most things presently. but forcing my way through. The more I do, the better I'm feeling. :D

I am glad you are finding that the more you do, the better you're feeling :) activity releases serotonin which makes you feel more energetic (ironic) and happier :) it is the feel good chemical!

I've got some of those fat and water content body scales, but they have needed a new battery for yonks and as it is a weird watch battery I just never remember to buy one! Yay for yours being free!!

Grouting already! Does it look nice? :)

Ahhhh indian. :( I have to be SO good. I've hidden my takeaway category in YNAB :rotfl:

Spotify. Download it. Phone app, computer.. I have it on both and it is perfect. It even has radios that are attuned to your exact requirement. :) I have :o:o:o demi lovatos album on there.. love it. Bit of 'Skyscraper' - I too am a music only girl (she types as she listens to 'When the beat drops out' in the background) and rarely have the TV on if it isn't cbeebies or peppa pig. I did watch a new marvel programme on a friends netflix this morning. Daredevil :D

Much love! Glad to see you xx

  • :hello:

Hello :) I find if there is a job I have been putting off the best way to start it is to set a timer for 15 minutes, and then.. GO! By the time the 15 minutes is up the job is either done, or I've made good progress. Might help with the motivation? I love waking up to the radio too. I've been eye-ing up the Bose mini Soundlink... I covet it badly :o but can't justify the price at the moment. One day! I have a DAB in the kitchen and have that on in the evenings rather than watch TV. Although I'm liking Outlander on Prime at the moment.. I've read all the books and it's surprisingly a good reflection.

    Hugs xx
