Im not sure I think there are 3 types including Hidcote, I couldn't add the sand as it had too many stones in it so that will be slowly put in the bin. Tomorrow I have to refeed and weed as there are new weeds now on the lawn due to sunshine.

I have spent 3 hours applying more weed and feed to the garden. So many new weeds have come up since a few weeks ago when I last applied it. Now I am going to eat, rest, shower and do some marking.

Hope you managed to relax this afternoon SW. I’m back to work (at home) tomorrow. I didn’t get all my jobs done today, I just pottered around this afternoon. The rest can get done in the week after work. Are you off all week ?

Bless you, today I need to dig up some old plants to create space for the petunias in the flower bed. Im going to do it v slowly as I am vvv lazy.  I'm ignoring all the overgrown bits as the garden is a bit big. My parents do all this usually I'm just making it up as I go along!! The weather is glorious I do have some work to do too.

@savingwannabe this is how I read your post:

I need to dig up some plants as I've got some gorgeous petunias for the flower bed. Im going to do it v slowly as I want them positioned just right for looking at them.  I've a wild garden section as I do like nature; butterflies, bees and other insects flying around allows that part to look after itself. The weather is glorious and I do have some work to do too.

    🤗🤗🤗

I don't read anything you write as being a lazy gardener or anything else you around the home. You've a demanding job and need to make your private life easy and quick. Now stop using negative words when speaking about yourself x

Enjoy the weather as it is fabulous already 🌞🌞

Bless you that is so kind. It is gorgeous out there. I've ordered some soil improver (£12.59) as then I might be able to grow the lavender successfully. I will be saving the usual £250,   as I have spent over £80 on garden paint and stuff but it will give me something to do during lockdown and will improve my house.

I'm sure your lavender will grow well by your swing and bring many years of happiness 😊

It's so easy to fall into a 'can't do anything as it's lockdown', but all those tasks which have been put off, now have the time to do them.

You are not commuting to / from work, that's a minimum of 10 minutes extra a day (I don't know how far you are from work)
That's then available for taking a few dead flowers off or loading the washing machine, having a cup of tea or sitting outside with your brew 😁
By the time the new normal is here your garden will be low maintenance, the fences painted, swing / lavender section will have settled in etc and the garden will only need a bit of mulch / deadheading each year.

Small tasks are easier to achieve.
Big tasks leave you feeling like poo if it's not complete.

Indeed all the house is done now I cannot believe how many jobs you can do quickly in short work breaks at home. Roll on the summer. I wonder if I will be able to go on a bus by then?
