It's been a restful weekend and I've done tiny bits of work. Facebook is very distracting but it is nice to see my friends. Yesterday I spent a fair bit of time on sorting out the garden hose! but today will be spent get rid of all the damp in my house. It comes from the condensation on the windows. It looks like it will be a glorious day.
My spending is just on food which the neighbours are getting. I might see if I can grow my own tomatoes as I don't want to risk going out to a shop. I really cant see us going back to work in real life till at least June (it will be online for ages). Please let people be healthy and let us win this horrible battle against the virus. Stay well everyone.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222 -
Garden hoses are the bane of people's lives. I can understand why the person invented one on a reel!
Open as many windows as you can each morning when you get up, to let the air flow through your home. I know it's difficult on the cold days. That should help with the condensation.
Tomato's are easy to grow and tend to produce a load of them. If you have a bit of space do it, keep it up when things are back to normal too. A little bit of self-sufficiency is always a good thing.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
We often get black mould/mildew round the windows too. I put some bleach & water into a clean old spray bottle & sprayed lightly, left for 10-15 minutes & wiped off. I use an old toothbrush to get into the corners of my UPVC windows. I put a plastic sheet plus old quilt cover down on the floor to protect my carpet from any drips.I’ve grown tomatoes in the past just in grow bags up against a sunny wall. Unfortunately there is a local black & white cat that comes into the garden & sprays / poo’s on stuff. I have however thought about growing tomatoes in hanging baskets as you can get ones that hang over the sides but doubt it will be this year now. I have also in the past grown courgettes & runner beans on a net in the garden.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

I planted some seeds from the tomatoes themselves but think I overwatered them. Still they are in the greenhouse we shall see in a few days. My friends job looks like it is disappearing after Easter. I will run out urgent medication today please let the chemist have the prescription. I'm going to get rid of the damp in bathroom.

It was a palaver as I ran out of long acting insulin so I kept taking short acting every two hours since this morning. The drs wrote out the prescription on Thursday but the pharmacy found the prescription today in a backlog (they are so understaffed the poor people) so I am safe again and will take 2/3 of the dosage for today. I cleaned out the shower before I went this morning.
It's such a relief.
Everyone (patients and all staff at dr's and pharmacy) were friendly and really nice which is good. Now I am going to eat and rest then maybe tidy for a bit. Lodger has been sent home early from work. He works for a utility organisation.

Morning Skinty, we just don't know about our jobs it feels like the world has gone mad. Today I have got rid of weeds in my front garden and vacuumed downstairs. I also did a little tidy under the stairs. I'm putting off marking so I have decided to make some roast potatoes and also clean out some of my kitchen cupboards. So far except for food shopping this month I have not spent any money.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222

I succumbed and bought 3 tomato plants on fleabay £8.99 as I don't know if mine will grow. So expensive as they are usually only £1 each!!!! A local place was selling but you had to do a minimum spend of £50. I have spent £30 on food so far this month. I have not done any work today but I did put my files away I cleaned all the mirrors in my house.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222
