  • That is ridiculous.

I would make a complaint in writing to them even though you are switching.

thanks for your supportive posts ladies, to save hassle I am writing it off and wont bother contacting them providing the switch goes through. MSE are advertising a good offer with a small provider in today's email but I am going to stick with traditional British Gas as my new supplier at least they wont refuse to refund any credits. :j

In the grand scheme of things it's ok, financially I can bear it I reckon as I have made some savings this year and I have bought most of my presents.

Thank goodness it is the holiday. I didn't realise how exhausted I was. I have spent all of today resting and I am starting to remember people's names and am able to complete sentences. I was so tired by the end of term I was forgetting everything!!!!

Mum and dad are here for another day and I am going shopping with them tomorrow. I have to buy 3 calendars for the builder, lodger and Andy. Then I just have to transfer money to my brother for Christmas and I am done. :D:D:D:D

Good news, for the first time since the 2007 crisis we are getting a £10 a month pay rise I think starting in January. I will try to save this.

The freezer just needed defrosting and the compartment emptying out. My mum did this for me and now it is like new. Hooray.

My parents are leaving tomorrow and I'm going to visit the boys tomorrow. Merry Christmas everyone. :j:D:T:A:j

Well what a great Christmas I had with Steve and Andy. Let's just say I ate a lot!!!! We also watched lots of tv, had some great walks around Lymington and also visited Beaulieu.

I have bought lots of Christmas cards and Calendars from the sales but that is it. I have also paid off £200 from my £223 credit card early!!!! I did buy some lovely things from the shops in Lymington using some Christmas cash.

I have a tummy bug so I am staying in for the rest of the week and am planning to mark like crazy. I also have plenty of ironing to do.

It has been a marvellous Christmas and I feel so very happy. I hope everyone else had a great one too.

I just went to the supermarket and have returned with plenty of whoopises of lamb, turkey, minced lamb, loads and loads of fruit and veg. My shop should have been cheap but I also bought some sale things for gifts for next year. I have started to think smart as we always need these presents and they are now half price. I spent £42 in total.

I'm trying to think of New Year's Resolutions for 2019:
    • To save my wage rise (£9-10) as well as my usual overpayments and savings
    • To take in a mug and teabags to work as then my tea is free
    • To take sandwiches as much as possible
    • To save all £2 coins into a money box
    • To walk everyday when my health is up to it.
    • To only buy individual bags of crisps as buying large six packs are empty calories.
    • To continue to save £20 a month into my Christmas Fund

  • Hello Skinty hope you enjoyed your time with your dear father. I wish I could batch cook. At the moment I am living on toast it's about the only thing I can hold down.

Still it means I am not spending money which is good. I only managed to pay my cc bill as my summer job repaid my pension contributions otherwise I would be panicking about the bill. :money:
