Hooray. I am taking this weekend off and do not plan to do any work till Sunday night when I have one lesson to plan.

I am tidying, washing and then I will write out my Christmas cards. I am nearly prepped for Christmas but it is the most minimal Christmas ever. Pretty much everything has been ordered from the internet which means I am not supporting local shops but I have just been too busy to visit one. Once my refund comes from my gas company I can use that for my parents gift and then I only have two presents to get for lodger and handyman.

It is just so nice to spend some time at home chilling.

Thank you Dolly I did. I was supposed to go out but was not 100% so I stayed in and chilled. Today was good. Only 3.5 days till Christmas hols.

The boys came to visit bringing lots of gifts and food. It was fab. Today my freezer is bleeping and I have chucked out the food in it as I think it has defrosted. I don't want to pay for a new one. We shall see what is going on at the weekend when work calms down. lol.

I had so much food in it. What a waste of money. lol

  • Oh no to the freezer bleeping!

Hope you can get that sorted out without having to buy a new one.

Me too. I don't think it is that old. I have read the instructions on google and will ask mum and dad to sort it out. I think it just needs defrosting. I have chucked my stuff out and have said I would pay for the lodgers food. We are going to defrost it for 24 hours and see what happens.

Mum and dad come at the weekend. Yay. :j

  • Oh no SW bad news about the freezer. Is it worth claiming on your house insurance if you have freezer cover ?

I am still having problems with mine and have to get the hairdryer on it weekly. I'm emptying mine at the moment and will buy food for new year when I get back on 30th in case it breaks down while I'm away for Christmas. I googled "bleeping noise hotpoint freezer" for mine and it came up with U-tube videos of how to fix it with the hairdryer, but it only works short term.

I just contacted the gas/electric provider to find out about my refund of £195. Today they said that they had made a mistake apparently although it was as clear as crystal that I had a credit of £195. They added a load of charges to the account whilst I was on the phone to them and now I am only in credit by £50! I have no idea what any of these charges are, they are all bogus. Everyone is complaining on MSE about Outfox the Market about the same thing. I have initiated a switch as I think it is v suspicious. It will take 10 days and then I will escape from them. Hopefully it wont cost much more. :(

Let's just say I wont be spending much more this Christmas.
