This will (likely) have always been a virtual credit, there won't have been a physical card. Companies like this issue gift certificate codes.
in this case yes, but i was just generalising to explain to Voltaire7 how these things work in that it is still a gift card on an Amazon accountContacting poke.io is the only option at this stage, anyone who tells OP otherwise is leading him in the wrong direction.
yes i agree only poke.io can sort this out as they are the retailer where the purchase was made0 -

Amazon still think they're dealing with the 45 year old father here. It's what else has gone on at your address or perhaps with this particular activity that's the problem.
Is your father still able to use his own Amazon account? Does anyone else in your family (or any visitors who use your IP address) have a problem with Amazon? Have you logged on to this account from another location?
Forget Amazon for the moment. The OP needs to contact poke.io to see if they have the £300. Also I think they would have more chance to find out the location and status of the funds0 -
As above, this has nothing to do with the new account but an old account that they know are related. To me this is a closed account or has been closed by them because of something they suspect is dodgy.
Both me and my wife have Amazon account and we both use the same computer so you can have at least two accounts without any problems. There is more to this than meets the eye.
A bit like Ebay, if Ebay close your account they will quickly catch you out if you open another one from the same location.0 -
Is it the case that the gift card has previously (somehow) been linked to a fraudulent account and that is the original root of the problemThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

No one here has had an account before. Regardless, even if anyone had an account I still wanted it to go to the collect+ location up from my house because no one is home during the day. Nothing "fishy" going on, just amazon has my money and I want it back..0 -

For the last time Poke.io will be the ones with your money as you paid them.
AMAZON WILL NOT HAVE YOUR MONEY, YOUR CONTRACT WILL BE WITH THE RETAILER YOU PURCHASED FROM
Sorry for shouting, but i think the OP needs to be shouted at, as he cannot understand0 -
