What do you mean 'added his gift card'?
simple you get a gift card from a store, go onto your amazon account and then using the code on the gift card you just create an online gift card in your amazon account. so it is still a gift card.
Amazon dont have any of your money, the retailer who you purchased the gift card from has your money0

Surely once you add the card number to your account, the money will get transferred from the retailers account to Amazon.
The card was added to the Amazon account, therefore Amazon must have the money or they wouldn't send the goods out.0

not really, they work like coupons you take to your supermarket in that the amount of the card is added as a GC to the account, but will not be recovered from the reseller until a specific time of the month (whenever amazon do their accounts).
its like when you order anything from amazon marketplace sellers you are paying amazon who will then send a balance to the marketplace seller once a month minus their fees0

Not as I see it. If you add a gift card to an Amazon account, the amount remains on your account. If Amazon refuse to accept your account then the money will be back on the gift card and not be redeemable. They have got his money. He redeemed the amount on his card onto his account balance.
The Gift Card now has zero balance.
There's no real way of knowing without contacting who issued the gift card. They will then have to check and/or cancel with Amazon and then credit OP's account.
At this stage, pursuing Amazon is pointless. Only if Pokemon (sic) tell the OP that Amazon have his funds can he then pursue Amazon.
Personally I'd be asking Pokemon to cancel my Amazon vouchers and issue Apple ones or some other that is usable. If they do issue Apple ones then you can use them in store without having to open an account..0

What do you mean 'remains on your account'?. You're at least the 2nd person on this thread confusing people using the wrong terminology.
The Gift Card is not an account, so it can't remain on his account. Your comment makes no sense.
When you redeem a Gift Card on Amazon, Amazon takes the balance on the card and applies it as a credit to your account, so next time you log in you have a balance to spend. The amount is no longer on the card.0

There are exceptions for entering legal contracts, a 16 year old can marry with parental consent, for example.even Poke.io have it wrong in their terms
In the UK to enter into a Legal contract you must be at least 18 years old
their FAQ at https://pock.io/faq also states.0

I'm not sure what the difference is regarding terminology, apart from semantics, which hardly seems that important. If there is no account then there is no credit on the account. Therefore the credit will be back on the gift card/certificate (which in this case was probably just a several digit code), therefore OP should refer back to the supplier of the gift certificate. What do you mean 'remains on your account'?. By all means keep telling him that Amazon has his money but if he doesn't contact Pokemon then he will never know and will remain out of pocket..0
