thank you!!! :D Now to see how long it takes before the grey shows through!! (I've been going grey since I was 18.. it won't take long :( !)

Another OP to CC2.. and CC3 is now under £1000!! So happy with that. In other MSE news, DD has had the first expensive school trip letter - a skiing trip to Austria next Feb. £800!! She's so excited, and of course we'll make sure she can go if she wants to - it's my OP for one month so I know we can make it happen, even if that means I delay my DFD by one month.

  • Hope everyone is ok? Off to nephew's birthday tea in a bit so a spendy evening I expect. In other money related news - I've had my hair coloured by a proper hairdresser for the first time in years. Usually I buy a box from the supermarket and do it myself, but the cuts I have done at home by a lovely lady. She wanted to practise balayage, a colouring technique, and I volunteered. It's GORGEOUS! usually I'm medium golden brown (!) and now I'm red, and blonde, and chocolate chestnut brown.. it's totally different and very beautiful :D And best of all, she didn't charge me :D :T :T

Can I volunteer too? :) I always wanted balayage, but it's £100+ in my area. Your hair looks fantastic.

  • Proper scores on the doors later, but I've made another OP and updated my sig :D Woop Woop!

  • evening :hello:

scores on the doors time.. CC2 will be gone and closed by this time next month :j :j :j
CC3 has £999 on it (I might have made a sneaky extra payment to get it into 3 figures :0) & I've added it to my sig now, as it will be the next target.
CC4 and 5 are a bit bigger but are heading in the right direction. All in all I have paid off 43% of the debt :D and it should be at 50% by June, all being well. I'm pretty pleased with my progress - altho' DH is being largely unsupportive, which is irritating  He seems to assume that I have oodles of spare cash and I'll be able to pay for various things without a contribution from him.. He was supposed to be putting some money towards the windows this month, but now says he can't. I'll find the money, but that's not really the point.. Sorry to have a bit of a moan, but I know you lot will get it.

In any case, next month will see me down to 3 cards (plus the window one that we don't talk about ;) ) which when I think back to this time last year is a major achievement :D So :T :T go me!! xx

Figures are looking great well done xx

Why can hubby pay his share of the Windows??? Seems a shame he's going back on his word plus if you pay for his share he'll probably just assume you'll cover the whole balance yourself xx

Not sure why he can't make a contribution this month.. His excuse is that he'll give me a lump sum when he gets his bonus, which should be in July. I'm not letting him off that! It's massively frustrating that I'm making all this progress, and he doesn't seem to be. But I guess he hasn't had his LBM yet.. I can't have it for him.

A frying pan over the head might help with that one :rotfl:

Not too much to report, but I didn't want to leave it too long to post :) I had the letter yesterday confirming a bonus which should appear in my paypacket next week. Not massive, but not small either! So it'll go onto the windows CC. Not enough to clear it unfortunately, but we will then own 1 of the windows outright :D

Also scheduled for payday is to clear CC2, and make a big dent in CC3 with my regular OPs :j can't wait!

DD has negotiated into moving into the bigger spare room, so is currently tidying as though her life depended on it :D She is content to not have it redecorated (it was done a couple of years ago and still looks fresh) so it's pretty much a case of just swapping the furniture over. Her room does need decorating though, but luckily not carpets. One feature wall and white paint planned. Shouldn't be too expensive, and can be worked into the budget. The other spare room is decorated but does need a carpet really.. that will have to wait. We don't have guests to stay that would mind!

I'm fighting a cold/cough at the moment. I have asthma so whenever I get a cold I always get a lovely cough. It made going for a run this morning pretty hard work, and I think hayfever is starting too. Grumble grumble. Still.. homework supervision, ironing for the holiday let, washing, cooking a roast, and then reading the papers and catching up on the Archers to do. Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday xx
