Time to step up to the plate..

Can't believe I haven't posted since May
It's been a spendy summer. The boiler broke, the car needed lots doing and what with one thing and another the debt has gone back up, which I'm a bit cross about. None of the spending was frivolous though, so it's time to draw a line under it and start again. Deep breath and onwards.
I've been lurking a lot, and keeping up with the diaries though. It's really interesting to see how everyone is using different strategies to find their own path to debt freedom (and/or acceptance of that debt). I know I'm not going to feel content until my sig has a dancing banana next to a big zero, but I'm also not prepared to live on rice and beans (a la Mr/s Frugalwoods) until that happens. So we have had a family holiday this summer, but it was camping in Wales, rather than sailing in GreeceAnd we had a fab time with some lovely friends. Back to work tomorrow, which will be a shock to the system, and I am not looking forward to it. May be time to start a job search. Anyway, I'm back, and I'll be posting more often

Welcome back
Glad you had a lovely holiday, at least we've had a good summer this year so the UK has been like being abroad.
Looking forward to seeing that dancing bananaI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Thanks SA, we had glorious weather and I've come back with a bit of a tan, which is very unlike me!
Today's MSE action #1 is that I have requested a credit back from my gas/electricity company. It'll go onto DH's card. First day at work went relatively smoothly, but I'm glad it's done. Time now to cook my lunches for the rest of the week (MSE action #2)LBM 1st Feb 2015 £18182 to go
