right then.. update time.
Since my LBM last Feb I have paid off over £9000 from my cards :T :T One CC is gone forever, and the next 3 will not be long, as the balances on those are all under £1500. That will leave the biggest..which is on a low life of balance rate.
I'm pondering getting another card though.. we desperately need 3 new windows. Our house is Victorian and we still have the original sash windows - but they are very rotten, and look dreadful, as well as being single glazed etc etc. If I could get a 0% on purchases card, that might be the best way to get them replaced. DH gets a bonus in July, and he would pay his half of the cost then, which would leave me with the rest to pay by the time the 0% runs out. I think it's do-able... what do you lovely lot think?
Plans for 2016:
- to lose some weight. How? clean eating, less alcohol, increase the exercise.
- pay off and close the 3 CCs referred to above. My spreadsheet says they should be gone in March, June and July.
- I'm having some life coaching at the moment, and I love it! So I'm going to continue with that.
- In our home, I'll continue to declutter. Aiming to decorate DD's room, and the sitting room.
- No holidays abroad this year planned, except possibly visiting my parents in Portugal. We'll go camping I think, either in The Gower, or in Ireland.
I'm not making resolutions as such this New Year - my life coaching means that I've already got clear goals that I'm working towards. But I do love writing out my new calendar, and it's been really good to see on my spreadsheet how much I've accomplished this year - 34.4% paid off!!
Thanks so much for reading, commenting, etc etc. Your support means more than you know.

I think if you can get the 0% card and you're confident that you'll clear you're half then I would go for it as proper Windows will save you money on the heating bills too xxNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050

Afternoon!
Been reviewing the house insurance, it's renewal time. The current quote is just over £300  so I must be able to find it cheaper someplace else, and with some cash back. I'll spend some time this afternoon doing some comparisons. And I've redone our broadband/phone etc. Currently we're with plu$net, and their customer service when we had a problem before Christmas was awful. So we're going back to the other one.. It's £5 a month cheaper, and through quidco we get £140 cashback ! Win win!
I've also bought a bullet type processor thingy.. I didn't want to pay nutribullet prices, so did some research and got one with really good reviews for £40.
In less spendy news, I've been making small PADs to CC2, and I'm still in target to get rid by the end of March. Woop Woop!LBM 1st Feb 2015 £18182 to go

hello!
it's been 10 days since I posted lastit's been so busy at work, that I've pretty much come home, sorted DD out and then collapsed into bed! Tonight has been the night for catching up on things - self assessment time anyone?! and seeing where I'm up to on the OPs..
My signature is updated, and CC2 is less than £1000!! :T :T very happy to see that! As long as nothing goes wrong (famous last words, I know..) then the end of March will see that one gone.
I do have a confession though. I got the new 0% card for my windows. DH has promised he'll pay his half when he gets his bonus in the summer, and I'll be able to clear the rest before the 0% runs out. I've included it in my spreadsheet, although I'm not counting it in my overall debt as that would be too depressingbut somehow it's not the same. My debt was accumulated through needless and mindless overspending; whereas the window debt was very very carefully thought through, and will be a very tangible improvement to our forever home.
have I convinced you?:rotfl:

I think it's great you've put the Windows on a 0% card as most people get taken in by the company's own finance deals xxNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050

Hi stepup! Your CC2 is looking good!
Re the windows, you are definitely doing the right thing, they need to be maintained especially the original features, and the longer you leave it the worse it will be.
Also its fantastic news you got the 0% deal :beer:0 -
Also its fantastic news you got the 0% deal
yes, it is!! And they gave me exactly the limit that I asked for - so I guess this process is working. My total debt is coming down a bit quicker now that most of it is on either 0% or low life-of-balance. The next 6 months should see another 3 cards gone for good  and then I'll have my last CC and the window CC left.
I've been getting ahead of myself again, and planning what I'll do when the debt has gone. It's not too difficult really, we'll be remortgaging, and then attacking that. Although I do want to plan a lovely holiday too. Our mortgage is rather large, and some of it is on interest only  although we have been sending extra payments to that one. So it needs sorting.
Plan for today:
- sort out final documents for the tax return DONE
- washing pile
- ironing pile
- pile of things to be listed on Shpock DONE
- cwtch on sofa with DD, find a film
- roast chicken for lunch - ready nowLBM 1st Feb 2015 £18182 to go

exciting day today! (I'm sad...) My lovely accountant sorted out my tax return for the holiday let, and I had enough money saved in my HMRC account to pay it.. AND the rest I had saved has gone towards one of my cards (CC3), and has taken a month of my DFD! So happy! :T :T
So now my HMRC account looks a bit depleted, but my spreadsheet is very pleasing! This month sees me very close to 40% (39.7!) paid off in total, and I'm going to see how I get on with a week to go til the let money comes in, and make a push to get to that 40%.
We've listed a few things on shpock this week, which will go towards the window cc. Anybody else use it?LBM 1st Feb 2015 £18182 to go
