*sniffs the air* did someone mention dime bars? *scuttles in* cake as well? Dime bar cake, you say? *creates diversion and snaffles the lot*0

Gutted I missed out on the dime bar cake! Serves me right for not checking in!
Well done for standing up for yourself and for being so brave! I hate meeting new people! I'm shy and can come off as a bit of a b$&*h!
I sorted through a drawer in my bedroom at the weekend and most of it bar a few things that are a bit worn went back in! So I'm going to try your technique of taking them somewhere else in the house as I think that could really work!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

I actually find it much quicker to do as well when it is out of its environment
in a trug and out in the garden if I can - I would use the dining room table but I havent found it yet  well its the legs I can see the top
so the last few days have been hard on my mental health
however I woke up completely different today
I have very pink hair (topped it up) and in it I have a very bright green and orange vintage silk scarf - given to me at the weekend - it might not be the best colour to go with my hair BUT its such happy colours and is making me feel good
I have been having no spend days - my two things on ebay are getting views but no bids - oh well - with five days to go perhaps thats normal
I have managed to slide more 'odds' from one bank account to the other - I do need to go and get some groceries as I have a nearly empty fridge and the dogs need some tinned food (they have some mixed with biscuits for a treat)
as I feel so different today I have been taking it very easy
just making bread and slow cooking a gammon joint
have collected a couple of baskets of clothes up (having put away a lot) ready for DH to carry down stairs later - (I need to hold the bannister and I cant trip and fall) I will do some sorting while I am sorting dinner and the rest can be done tomorrow but that will really help as I will be able to get to a chest which houses jumpers tomorrow and then ALL my clothes (apart from coats) will be sorted :j:j:j
The way I feel today all light and happy I just wish I could share it with you all - its so long since I felt like this (which I think is 'normal' and how we should all feel) I just want to share it with everyone

yes of course - and this is a very easy recipe, it consists of 'visit the freezer section in your supermarket or Ik3a'
. They used to only sell it in Ik3a but it's in lots of other stores now - and is gluten free too. I slice it when I get it home so that I can defrost a couple of pieces at a time.

Well Rosa I was sure it would be homemade
I have never seen them before and they do a toblerone one too - how exciting is that
must be something to do with making cakes will have to try one so I can see if I can make one
and I dont want to be boring but I AM REALLY HAPPY TODAY and no I am not on anything I promise
and great news - I meant to mention it before if you fold your washing and pop it in the laundry basket as it comes off the line - this takes a while depending how much you have - it then takes just 2 mins to put it away - once some of the hoard has been culled
tomorrow I will be doing the rest of the loose clothing and opening up the jumpers most of which I have not worn in a year as I have not been able to get at them - so I spose that means they can all go to charity shop - well maybe keep a couple for layering next winter

Hope your happy feeling has extended to today! Your hair and scarf combo sound fab! I'm just standard brown (with grey flecks to mix things up a bit!)
You are putting me to shame - I really must sort through at least some of my clothes! Especially as the parents brought round a whole suitcase full of stuff that was still at theirs! I was struggling for space before so now it just looks like a bomb has gone off in my room!
Hope you have a good day!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Thank you Twiglet - do it in your own time if you rush into it and are not ready you will keep more than you need but those clothes from your mums you havent seen for a while - why not take out the very loved items put the rest back in and if you havent had another look for anything in the next two months you most like dont need it

well I am still happy - not quite so but I think yesterday was an over reaction to the right hormones - but still very happy and certainly not manic
so today I have started to sort stuff having taken it to the garden
need to go back out to do more - but next door has a very barky dog and they let it out in the garden - well two out of my six kept barking back so we came in as I dont want mine getting into bad happens (Eris in my profile pick is bad enough as he is without being wound up - he is a street dog or was)
when I go upstairs I am going to put all the first aid stuff in zip lock bags and put it in a nice basket in the bathroom - and I can see the tops of the chests - not completely clear but they are so nearly there
will go up a bit later with the bags and start on the first aid stuff but need to be putting the clothes away as soon as I have finished sorting them - its slow progress but I am getting there
I really should have counted all the things that are leaving the house so I can see progress - shame I didnt but hey ho

That's fab! Sounds like you don't need to count items to see the progress - you just have to look at reappearing chest tops! Hmmm, that didn't sound right, did it?!!I can see the tops of the chests - not completely clear but they are so nearly there

Sounds even less right seen on its own and out of context - Hubby says Yes please and burst out laughing
- the clothes are done but I bet I have missed some - they can be done tomorrow when I do a load of washing
-I have done some of the first aid stuff (sort of got bored)
-sorted some nail varnish and have only kept the china glaze and opi I like the cheap ones and expensive ones I dont like are in a carrier
- checked free postcode lotteries
- done polls
so left the house is
2 bin bags (2)
two carrier bags for rags (4)
five sewing machines (9) - I still have 6 or 7 I think
one bag of yarn (10)
one spinning stall (11)
that is since sunday and I will have at least one more bag for charity shop come the weekend
need to check some coats and perhaps get them on to be washed
today was mostly a happy day and I am happy again now - but had a slump mid afternoon - I think the sorting got a bit on top of me when I realised how much I waste stuff by buying what I dont need or even really want - but its part of the bipolar and I just need to start to recognise the signs a bit better
but today has been another nsd so am really pleased with that :T
oh and I have to book visits on the net to see son and I have three dates I can put - as we never get the first one I was not worried when I put my birthday down but guess which day we got - am a bit upset by that really but not much I can do about it its either then or not go
I suppose its the mother bit that keeps putting him first -Emergency fund £10,000

Wow - you're a decluttering queen by the sounds of it! I just tend to make a mess and then get rid of nothing! :rotfl:
Shame about your birthday. You could always put yourself first and not go, but not if you'll then spend your birthday feeling guilty that you didn't go.
