All sounds good :T
If you get bored with camera manuals, have you thought of looking for a local course? There are sometimes £30 ish Groupon deals where a local photographer will take people round town for the day and help them learn their way around the controls and get good shots - or at least there are here and a friend of mine really enjoyed it when she did one

Hope you had a lovely day with your daughter. I've really missed my parents since I moved out so I do make an effort to see them, and they come to mine every Sunday morning for a cuppa. The house was my granddads and they used to see him every Sunday morning for a cuppa so they've just carried on the tradition!
I really want to get a decent camera. Mine broke so I only have my phone but have managed to snap some good shots. Problem is I expect the quality wouldn't be very good if I had them put on to canvas which is what I want to do. I work by the beach so have some lovely sunrise/sunset/general beach shots!
If I don't get on here over the weekend, I hope you have a lovely weekend.Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Rosa thank you that is a great idea - DH can do it but I think it would be a bit like me dad trying to teach me to drive
well today has been one of those days
I did not get to sleep early and woke at about 8 and just started to cry - no reason I hadnt done anything and I couldnt stop = messaged daughter and said do you still want me round (she finds it hard to cope with when she doesnt know how she will find me) she said yes bring the three little dogs - so we sat in her garden watching her two and mine acting like loonies - they were all very happy - lunch was all BOUGHT - heavens I dont think I have done that for so long - quiche jpot (oh she did them in microwave) bought salad bag - bought coleslaw -
I came home and prepared another thing for ebay ready to go live later - but I can home to devastation someone had found my handbag - ooops and a box of tissues
so dinner tonight is chicken thighs boned with cow cheese inside and wrapped in bacon - salad, pot wedges (hm) and coleslaw (hm)

Much chocolate was eaten today
ONE whole twirl
so today was a visiting day and after the difficult day I had yesterday (for no reason) today was as bad I found myself with tears down my face on the way to to the prison - no reason it just happened
and today was yet another test
I had a scarf rolled up and tied round my hair (sort of gives the bob a 1920;s look) when I got to be searched I was told to take it out - and was told to take it back to the visitors centre or the car - I said no they could keep it until I came out - they said they were not allowed to so I told them to bin it - I didnt want it and it was not worth the effort - before then they told my husband he would have a category A search (shoes off feet checked inside mouth more vigorous pat down search
when it was my turn I complained saying that if I were muslim or if I had alopecia or cancer and it was holding a wig on they would not make me take it off -= and their won literature says they take peoples needs into account - I told them I am classed as a vulnerable adult due to my mental health issues and just because they cant see them does not mean I am not suffering
she agreed with every thing I said - I was near the end of the line going in and when I came out she stopped me and told me that my scarf was behind the desk and to just ask for it - I suppose after my complaint they didnt dare bin it
I have great respect for religious freedom and sufferers of cancer and alopecia I just wanted to give examples
so a traumatic time - but when I came out 5 visitors who I have never spoken too before but have seen searched me out to say how sorry they were I was treated as I was in front of others and they had great respect for me for sticking up for myself - and I had a wonderful PM waiting for me too - which has made me look at things slightly differently each visit is one nearer to being the last one I have to do - how fantastic is that
so spending today was fuel
and 15 quid on cuppas chocolate and crisps etc for son and on the way back we stopped for strawberries and raspberries because I wanted a treat or two
on a really bright note I did get a £2 coin in the change
tomorrow I am going to be doing something really brave for me I am going to be meeting someone off the forum
I have also found a home for several items that have out lived their usefulness to me and I want to pass on to where they will be loved
and doing some more sorting I have a full recycle box for Wednesday a few samosaed carrier bags will be needed (oh I looked in there the other day and DH has just been rolling them up and shoving them in the bag so I will sort them monday)
Ido hope everyone has had a really wonderful day

Hurrah for you making a point and nice of the lady to make a point by keeping your scarf too, I suppose they can't be seen to do it all the time but nice that she did keep it aside for you.
That's a nice thought about each visit being nearer to the last, too - are there few enough that you could count them down with your son or celebrate getting to milestone ones? or would it seem too many just now?
Lovely that you have found a new friend too - hope you have a fab time

Rosa we dont know how many there could be - he is on what they call judges remand - he is treated as if he is convicted (eg only three visits a month instead of unlimited - money sent in is put in an account like a current account but x amount is put into an account they can spend from) that has gone down from 45 a week to now 15.5 - so he has less to spend from what they call the canteen - a list goes to them every week and they order from there - eg cigs chocolate tea bags powdered milk or hobby stuff - but we do not know how long he will get yet so we do not know how many visits there might be - but it is closer - and although the did keep my scarf they did in fact have no rights as to make me remove it as to let one section of society do one thing and expect others to do something else is discrimination - if you or I were in a position of authority and were seen to discriminate against one section of society all hell would break lose - now please dont get me wrong I have every respect for others who are different than I am but reverse discrimination is just as bad
off my soap box now - but human rights and anti discrimination is a huge thing of mine - I will always help out anyone who needs it in those areas
grab a cuppa and a slice of carrot cake - today I did something SO brave for me - imagine yourself in a situation that would induce severe anxiety - for some its spiders on them others flying some clowns etc - for me it is so many things but one of the biggest is going somewhere I dont know and meeting someone I have never met before but today I did it - hubby drove me I gave away 7 things that I have really loved at one time - but they now dont belong with me they need to move on to others
so those things gone and two things (presents) brought home
I found it very very difficult on the two hour drive there but once I had met the person DH left us to get on with girl chat and tea and cake - I now know I can do this again - but not yet on my own
so a NO SPEND DAY even though I did go to a vintage and antique place I came home with NOTHING so pleased I did not bring anything home
next week I am planning my attack slightly differently
I will clear all the piles from our bedroom and (weather permitting) take them to the garden to sort - I am thinking if they are out of the environment they are in it will be easier to sort them if they are where they are I move them around
I will do more photos and write ups for ebay and then schedule the listings
I will make double the amounts of dinner so I can freeze portions for ping meals when time is short
that will take care of a few days
I am seriously thinking of spending some money (might be 100) on a worm bin for my kitchen waste - I do have a digester down the garden but a worm bin would be good and I will have the compost
Hope you have all had a lovely weekendI have (well mostly)

I truly get what you mean about meeting people. It's a total ordeal for me too so I do know what it takes but you've done it and come through. Have you checked out the local authority or something like green redeem for a cheaper worm bin?Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 11st 12lb determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Plus I'm guessing that a day in the garden eating a lovely lunch and watching loon-dogs was exactly the breather you needed.

:T:T:T that's lovely - both kind and courageous - huge well done youKnitting_Nora wrote: »I've decided that tears are like wind - better out than in. A good release for some of that internal pressure, and a reminder to give yourself lots of tlc.

I find this too - emptying a drawer or whatever means I then want it to be right when I put things back in so I tend to do more than if I was 'weeding' it when stuff is still in there.
Almondy dime bar cake anyone? *waves plate*
