Just popping in to say hi :hello:
Hope you having a lovely Easter weekend - leg of lamb sound yummy!
I am so impressed with the "sliding money" bit in March in your signature! Wow good work!0 -
Thank you for popping in to say hello
the lamb was lovely and fresh mint sauce made it yesterday
easter weekend is ok I wanted to go out today but hubby didnt
something is wrong but I dont know what - he is not one for talking stuff over - so hopefully I will get a text in the morning - that is his usual way of starting a talk when its serious
so today I got up late had a lovely bath
sat in the garden watching the blackbirds back and forth to the next feeding young - very peaceful
washed the last of the stuff from the airing cupboard
sorted some shoes and popped some in for cs and found 3 pairs bought for events and all worn once - will try them on ebay
found a lovely phase 8 top for ebay too
someone has the same used top on for 15quid - they will be lucky I will start it off at about 2,50 I would be happy to get that it is beautiful
ate another roast dinner - now Dh keeps going shopping and getting bits but does not take the grocery money he puts it on the card BUT then he is very money saving - part cooked pots in oven and he saves the boiling water as it wont need heating from cold to cook the cabbage - oh well we are getting there
I have decided I do not like the loo rolls we have - they were on offer and are a good make but not as thick as I am used to using so I use twice as much - so the money saving is not equivalent to what its actually costing - oh well I wont be getting them again BUT why did I buy a pack of 9 that was 100% extra so I have 18 rolls of the hated stuff - might use until the end of the month then donate to daughter
so no actual money saving for me today a bit of sorting done - still more to do in my bedroom but it is getting done
I promise myself I will do at least 15 items tomorrow and either put the away ebay pile cs or just get rid - I am fed up trying to keep sorting its slowing me down and I lose momentum but I am getting there
I must say I did find a beautiful joe browns black dress I was looking for = that is now lovingly hung in the wardrobe will look fantasic a bit later with fitflops -
right off to bed so I can try to sleep - if not I dont know what to do - I am so mentally and physically tired but my brain wont give in
night all

Sounds a nice peaceful day. Keep plodding with the sorting, better to do it slow and get it right, there is no hurry. Sounds like you have had a Forgotten Shop find with the black dress too

I think your hairs sounds fab! But what the bloody hell should it matter?! You're a visitor not an inmate! *Climbs down from soap box*
You're being so productive! I finally got my CDs and DVDs from my parents to send off to music magpie, zapper etc. Except they are now all over the living room floor, oh and there's the small matter that none actually have CDs in and I'm not sure where my CD wallet is! Least I've started though know I'll make roughly £24 for my troubles!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

thanks for making me laugh - I went to take a cd out of the case in the car put it on and it was not what I was expecting at all - I thought it was pink floyd but NO it was its electric - quite a different sound but by then the traffic lights had changed so I had to put up with it
NORA that is the last of the chocolate in this house - I do have some twirls in the fridge but they are an emergency supply
right today has been a day of more sorting - no more dresses I am afraid
did some shoes and popped some in charity bag and kept some
DH is taking charity bags to shop on the way to work in the morning - if not I might start retrieving stuff
dinner was made with stuff from larder and freezer
I tried sainsburys baked beans today and had to judge if I liked them not if they were like heinz - verdict they were really nice - not like heinz but I think I prefered them
oh and I made my own houmous for lunch today
and it was a NO SPEND DAY
spent time in the garden watching the blackbird feed young on the nest
right time to relax
have a great evening everyoneEmergency fund £10,000

I also had emergency twirls in the fridge. Two large packs of those bite-sized bits. But it's been a 'two-large-packs-of-twirly-bits' topsy turvy week, so *whistles innocently*.
Though I've just found a stash of Green and Black mini choccie bars, so everyone's safe...for now...

I loved just sitting there with some elderflower cordial
today I have been watching her again (not seen Mr Blackbird) baby birds seen 3 and the sides of their beaks are not so yellow - so I think in the next few days they will be testing their wings and hopping skills
there were also baby sparrows playing in the garden - my neighbour has accused me of stealing her babies (they nested in her garden and are playing in mine
they also have some blue tits in their nesting box
today there were also butterflies playing but the pond drinking for the very edge of the pond
sounds very idyllic but I live on an ex council estate - all owned houses now - on a bus route with flats behind but further down so not over looking me - cant wait till I go to wales and feed the birds there we have all sorts and I now have a really good camera so will be practising my photography skillsKnitting_Nora wrote: »Though I've just found a stash of Green and Black mini choccie bars, so everyone's safe...for now..xx
that is my favourite chocolate I break the bars into its pieces and then wrap them in foil and freeze them - the chocolate takes longer to melt therefore giving you a bigger chocolate hit
now today I have
checked the post code free lottery - still not won
completed some surveys I now have a £10 and £3 I could withdraw but as I am not paying off a loan that incurs interest I think I will leave it all there until a month before norfolk
I have done some more sorting - trying to do a second cull
more stuff in the cs bag DH has taken two down for me
I have a big mat by the front door I have taken that to the garden and scrubbed it off that is now drying
taken off all the bedding
pillows duvet and mattress protector have all been on the line since much earlier
I have had a no spend day
and we are slowly getting through the food in the larder fridge and freezer
have spent much of the day emailing dh on and off as its been difficult for me - I have no counselling this week - non last week - and its mummy and daddy visiting week - I have to admit to saying to DH that I really hope he is sent somewhere much further away so we dont feel so obliged to visit monthly
DH took the car to work this morning (he usually cycles) as he is getting so tired I KNOW a lot of that is worrying about me - but that is just how his life has been - and thank goodness he stays with me
so tomorrow - I dont think apart from coats I have anything left to wash in this house before like the forth bridge it all needs doing again (yes I know its got special paint now so it is not started again as soon as it is finished)
so hoping you are all doing well - I have to admit the sun is so much better for me than the over cast daysEmergency fund £10,000

I could do another blackbird story but nothing to add that has not been said they are still there - but Mrs Blackbird did give me a good shouting out while I was putting washing out
so today went well for me stress levels still high
I have done all surveys and now have £16.00 that I can collect from different sites.
Been checking the free post code lottery
made dinner out of very little - the cost is going to be very low we are having chicken fried rice
I was out playing with the camera today - see if I can get better pictures - now I am not one for reading the manual that came with it - they are boring and half the time I dont know what I am looking for
so I have now managed to get some decent pictures of a couple of items for flea bay the first will go on tonight with a second if I can get it sorted after dinner
I know people say that things are better to end on a Sunday or Monday evening but I will just list them as I have them ready and perhaps schedule them - but if someone wants it they want it so not sure what the difference is
tomorrow I will going to my daughters for lunch and taking the three small dogs with me to play with her two
really looking forward to it as we both love to spend time together - I know I am honoured to have a daughter that wants to spend time with me
and I have had another NSD I am doing so much better with those
need to check lloyds and see if I can slide any money over to the holiday fund - every penny will help
0jhn ik[-^1 (Oh look how honoured you are that was Mishka saying hello)
right off to throw the dinner in the wok

I'm always so impressed with how much you get done in a day.
Are you beginning to notice the difference in the house as bits have been getting sorted and 'discarded'?
And isn't a just gorgeous at the moment? The perfect weather for playing with cameras, and generally being outside (types I, sitting indoors with all the windows and doors currently closed!).
Happy sighs all over the place.
