    Hiya MU :)
Hugs are good thank you :)
Very much awake... Not well :( painful and swollen throat and bad cough :( managed a few hours sleep but awake again :( just managed to take some paracetamol which Im quite proud of- my anxiety is very severe and I have a fear of choking which means I'm reluctant to take tablets anyway but ive forced them down. Praying they will help :(

    Hallo, Mrs._Ryan!
Sorry you're not feeling too good. Congrats on taking the tablets. Do you find that caplets or capsules are easier?

Edit. By the way, I believe you can get dissolvable paracetamol from the chemist. It is a lot more expensive than the tablets, about £3 for 24 tablets, but if it helps your anxiety......

Also, I was reading that you can empty the contents of a capsule into a spoon of jam or honey, or anything really, and take it that way.

    Hi Pyxis :)
Thanks for your reply. They were just bog standard paracetamol. I have them on prescription because of chronic back pain but I could ask my GP to prescribe some soluble ones. I don't pay for my scripts as I have medical exemption so it may be well worth asking thank you :)
I always seem to be ill recently with something or another but my GP thinks some of it is down to my anxiety. I have my PIP assessment on Monday but at this rate I don't think they will get a lot out of me- I think I'll be laying on the sofa in my pyjamas with my beloved teddy bear, Finny. I think he can do the talking for me. :D I bet that's the first time theyve had a talking bear do the assessment :D
Sorry I'm a bit chaotic due to lack of sleep and illness. I do talk rubbish when Im like this Unfortunately..

  • How are things, melly?

Welcome, Mrs R and AntoMac :D And Finny - another thread cuddly!

Grinding up paracetamol in honey sounds like an excellent idea. And don't worry about talking rubbish on here - we all do it sometimes. In fact, we have to. It's the law. :rotfl:

Will someone give me a boot up the bum to get me out of bed. The alarm went off at 8, and I can't muster up the enthusiasm to move. Gitdog is unusually quiet (he can hear the rain beating down so is probably hiding under his blanket), but I'm going to be annoyed with myself later at the wasted time when I've got lots to do.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • GET UP, ELSIEN!

I saw a lovely cartoon in Private Eye recently - expresses my own situation so perfectly. A pseudy artist standing in front of his work saying 'It's the only thing that gets me up in the mornings' - and his creation was a toilet. I swear, if I didn't have to pee, I'd NEVER get up in this weather! :D

OK, up, showered, and about to drive off to the country to make marmalade....

Hi all there is always someone is listening. Please keep talking ....
    warm Hugs
  • Hello adindas - I haven't left yet, and yes there is always someone listening - at least when someone is awake. And that seems to be most of the 24 hour clock, as some of us have disrupted sleep patterns.

Welcome to the thread, and warm hugs right back at yer! xxx
