Tea, that is just so grim! I'd have dragged him out of bed and rubbed his face on the bathroom floor! There's just no excuse (aside from proper incapacitating illness) to soil yourself to that degree. Get chasing your solicitor, a couple of times a day, ask for the details of the person at the mortgage company and chase them too. Why oh why has he not bothered to move to his new place?! Is he packed? If he's not, I'd do it for him so everything is ready for you to kick him out the minute the house is legally yours alone!

Georgie, it's so difficult to discuss weight with a loved one. It's such an emotive subject and so personal. Code's post was excellent. The thing that jumped out was the snacking on a night, is there anything you can do together that stops the cycle of sitting about, watching TV and snacking? Going out for an after dinner walk, going swimming, playing Just Dance on the xbox etc. A lot of snacking is mindless, you don't even realise how much you're eating. Start off by suggesting he only takes a handful of crisps from the bag and put the rest away, or a couple of biscuits instead of the packet etc. The effort it takes to get more makes you think twice about whether or not you really want it.

I keep hearing good things about Kettlebells, I should probably get one and do some exercise! :o

Sorry you're not well Melly. I'll be honest and say that I find your posts hard to follow (my brain only likes to read full, proper sentences; thus I hate texting! :o) but I get the gist. :(

Yes it was! :) Very interesting on hearing a view from someone who's been there and can help me to try to view things from my husband POV.

We tried going for walks. Lasted about 2-3 nights, then laziness kicked in "I can't be bothered", "looks like it's going to rain" etc. just Dance sounds fun though! Might buy it, then I can finally take that damn CoD out of the machine! Tried with the smaller portions idea, still goes to get more and says "I'm not a kid you know, if I want to eat the whole packi will"....all the while he's acting like a kid....so ironic!

Melly, hope work goes ok, take it easy. *hugs*

I wonder how tea is getting on? Hopefully no more nasty surprises?

Georgie - he thinks he's fine. He could discover otherwise if you can successfully challenge him to test his urine for sugar with a testing stick from the chemist. Or test his cholesterol with an over the counter home test.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Good idea Errata! :) That's what I'm worried about, any underlying problems.

Your dr is right, you can not afford to delay in situations like that. I hope you listen to him. :)

Sounds like a decent company you work for though, glad they are looking after you.
