Aw, Mr T is doing so well! He looks thoroughly at home, melly!
I am glad it is interesting, elsien! I know I go on about the causes a lot but is always something I insist on knowing, I like to understand exactly why my brain reacts in the way it does and it really frustrates me that it isn't more widely explained. Even as someone with the condition I have to pin my psychiatrist down and ask for a specific explanation of what is happening biologically, otherwise he would leave it with telling me it's due to psychosis.
It does scare me when I am alone, I am fine with WaSp popping out for a couple of hours but any longer than that I pin myself to the sofa because I don't dare risk anything that could go dangerously wrong. It isn't like forgetting something that you can't put your finger on, there is entire absence of memory as if you had never learned it in the first place.
The frustrating part is it's random. I can do something for months with no problem at all but then suddenly the pathway doesn't fire and a major part of what I am trying to do goes missing. There is no knowing what it might be or when it will happen, it isn't any worse if the psychosis is bad and can happen when I feel completely fine otherwise, like today. It is very limiting on what I can do for myself because a lot of the time I just can't risk it. I have a ridiculous amount of lists reminding myself in minute detail of the sequence to do things.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Have just seen a HUGE spider in the spare bedroom! Am now in bed, shaking and v scared. Have always had a massive phobia of them, but now am also convinced that P cat will find it and bring it to me. None of the doors here close properly so I can't even keep the cat in with me, or keep the monster out.
Eugh, it was so big! I feel sick. I know how silly it sounds and it's nothing compared to what some of you cope with but I can't explain how scared they make me. Once I fainted I was so terrified. And once I turned up at my parents' house at 11pm and stayed there for the night. Was in such a state when I got there that my mum thought I'd been mugged!0 -
Apparently massages mean plonking oneself somewhere in the centre and watching whilst meeping.
More of his catness is coming out, so whenever something is not to his satisfaction he turns his back on you.
Still doesn't bite or scratch though.0 -
Aw, tea I understand. Before I had phobia therapy I was terrified of them. WaSp was working on a nightshift once and I saw one at midnight. I sat at a bus stop for the whole night until 7am when he came home. I couldn't even stay in the same house as it. It is likely going to find a corner and go to sleep so try not to worry too much. It won't want to be found anymore than you want to find it.
Mr T is getting confident, melly! It shows how much he loves you and loves living with you!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I hate them too tea! Remember me saying the other week that I had to wake DH up to come and get a mahoosive one? Well, his technique (and I know some people might not approve), is to drop something big and heavy on it. I don't know what I was more worried about, the spider or the mark it would leave on my carpet! I did buy a spider catcher, which is more humane, but the suction wasn't that strong.
WaS, mmm oven gloves on toast, sounds yummy! My colleague put her watch in the fridge once!
Hugs to anyone else who needs one x0 -
Mr T sure is a cutie Melly! He looks like he's enjoying his new adventures!0

WaS in police cars a lot. Hmmm.
I seem to remember a couple of incidents with a rather fit, tall policeman at your flat?
There's a theme developing!
Perhaps, WaS, you got lost on purpose? :rotfl:
Well, I did the performance this evening, which went well, and which I enjoyed because I'd managed to speak to the sub-group people as soon as I got there.
They didn't bat an eyelid.
The insincere one looked positively delighted. I'm glad I hadn't upset them or made them cross, but it kind of reinforced the thought that I wasn't wanted.
It is all a load off my mind, but my self-esteem is in the pits.
There were a couple of people in the audience I knew, and one person I hadn't expected to see. They grabbed me in the interval and were really enthusiastic about it all, which was unexpectedly very nice indeed. So that was cheering.
Tea, I've sent subliminal orders to your spidie to stop scaring you and to go back into his hole and preferably into next door.
Oooh! Just a minute! Just getting one back! Yes, he's very sorry he scared you! Actually, he was pretty terrified of you too, so he thinks he'll be off to pastures new.
Your spare bedroom is now a spidie-free zone!
The invoice is in the post!(I just lurve spiders!)
