  • Those are all really good points, JM. I feel a bit calmer about it this morning and I think the best thing to do is to go no matter what because it really is too risky for me to be alone for 3 days. As long as I have a hotel room to hide in this could be doable.

As far as editing goes, your post made me giggle. I edit my posts constantly. Not because I change the content at all but I cannot cope with bad grammar, typo's or misspelt words. It is a major OCD problem for me, honestly one wrongly spelled word causes me massive anxiety. As long as no one minds me correcting those things I am happy to go with the majority view.

Codemoney, I am pretty sure during a session with my husband he collapsed a lung!!!!

As it just went ping. He said it felt weird like a something flapping in his chest. Went around like that for a couple of days went to the dr's and they went you can't drive and need to go to hospital now.

Which meant I had to come back from work to take him to the hospital to have it re-inflated. I wont go in to the gory details but it involves a syringe

Mind you we were told it was common for fit men in there 30's and 40's for it to happen for no reason!!!!

    Anyway my lovelies.

Sunshine here today. Walked in to town and back again. So that approx 3 miles today. My feet are killing me. Its my trainers but no money for new ones so will have to suffer LOL!!!

Waves do what is best for you. If you can't face the party then don't go but stay in the hotel room. And has been already said don't even think about staying on your own at home.

Not sure if any of you can give me some suggestions. I need a hat for everyday where. I do have a nice wide brim job for when I wear a dress. And have a baseball cap. But would like some a bit more feminine when wearing jeans and a t-shirt and out and about. Nothing to expensive.

Anyway going to do a few surveys and enter a few competitions and then going to sit in the garden and read for a while.

    Catch you all later.

    Yours

JM, I think editing a thanked post is fine, as if people feel strongly enough about any changes they can always go back and remove the thanks.
I edit things quite often if I think of something else or end up with a rogue apostrophe. Not an issue for me.

Edit :D. WaS, is it just your own grammar and spelling that bothers you? I find myself walking round town grumbling very pedantically about mistakes. Mainly because I think big business should be able to proof read things properly. It's a bit different on here. My mistakes tend to come when I'm using my phone to post. Although for some strange reason I've developed an annoying habit of sticking apostrophes in plurals even when I know it's wrong.

Note to anyone reading - don't let the grammar police put you off posting. Content is far more important.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Having a bit of a meh day, so decided to go to the hairdresser's this afternoon for a tidy up :)

Hugs to all. WaS, I also like the idea of going to Milliefleur's do but staying in the hotel room as and when you need to.

    Question about thread etiquette.

I've been back this morning and edited my post about Milliefleur's party, trying to clarify a few things. I don't think I've changed anything major.

However, it occurs to me that a few kind people have already 'thanked' this post. There's a danger, of course, that they might not have thanked the amended post because I might (unintentionally, I promise, but I suppose a troll might do it intentionally) have changed the meaning by editing.
So is it OK to edit thanked posts? What do people think?
I don't think it's a problem, as long as you don't completely reverse the tone of your post!

I think editing posts should be fine, you could make it obvious in the post if its a big change?

I've started packing up my ex's things. And its really gross, just stale smoke and everything feels a bit greasy. However, they deserve to have their belongings back and I need the space. Frequent breaks are required. And more boxes!!

Re. editing posts again, unless it's a very minor edit, eg grammar or clarification, I seem to have got in the habit of doing this:-

    Edit. Text text text etc.

I tend to do this when I am adding something separate from the main text, or adding another major point.

Some people write ETA instead of EDIT, which means the same.
