Good Morning all!
I slept for 15 hours! I had kidney pain yesterday and still have some today so it is likely Addison's Disease is being mean to me. I get very tired when this happens and constantly fall asleep. So I shall spend today drinking lots of water with a pinch of salt and eating banana's, my potassium levels were low at my last endocrinologists appointment so I need to get some into me. Addison's Disease is awkward for me to manage because I don't retain salt very well (and therefore crave it constantly) but I also need to take diuretics which removes a lot of what I do have. Too much salt increases my blood pressure, too little causes an Addisons flare. Oh, the joy of co-morbid conditions.
Funny Game of Thrones should be mentioned. WaSp and my american friend are begging me to watch it. I do avoid TV for the most part because something inevitably upsets me but the less true to life it is, the less chance of that happening. Fantasy might be ok, it depends how real the problems the characters face are. I am considering it.
As I said the editing doesn't bother me, just presume every post I make is edited because there is the smallest typo in it. I have no problem with other people's typo's at all, I don't even notice them but I cannot live with mine! It has always been a major OCD trigger for me.
Edited because I put ; instead of ' in don't. See?! I am incorrigible, I tell you!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

WaS, re. Game of Thrones, I'm not so sure you should watch it.
Now, I've only seen Series One, but I seem to remember that there is an awful lot of violence, and people being horrid to each other, and a lot of sadness. Don't get me wrong, it's a fabulous series, but in my opinion the fantasy aspect is a thin veneer over the other aspects.
It's nothing like Star Trek, where good always prevails, and none of the star characters die, and everything works out for the best in the end. It's more like a fantasy version of the Six Wives of Henry Eighth, with all the violence, torture and political, Machiavellian schemings, but with even more sex, and dragons!
But I might be wrong, and there may not be any triggers in it for you. I'd be careful, though.(I just lurve spiders!)

Eeeeeeeeep! Ok, that sounds bad. I don't think I'll risk it! Shows like Star Trek were never a problem for me because everything always turns out well, lessons are learned and we all mostly live happily ever after. Other than the one where they killed the Crystalline Entity. I cried on and off for days for a floating space Crystal, it totally messed my head up...Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I agree with Pyxis, there are some awful bits in Game of Thrones and quite a lot of issues covered that could potentially be triggers.
Why on earth do we watch such horrible stuff for fun? Its quite worrying really!
Question... Violent temper when pregnant. Midwife issue or cpn issue? No one seems sure0 -
Hmmm, possibly both, katy.
I think it depends on a few other questions-
Any previous temper problems?
Any other difficulties being treated?
Any current medication?
Any other mood swings?
Any environmental factors causing stress? (I would say pregnancy is enough, personally!)
And probably more I haven't thought of. I would be inclined to tell both and all 3 of you try to work out a solution together. If this does refer to you, I am really sorry that you are going through this.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

!
I'm the same re the editing WaS. If I see a grammatical error or spelling mistake, or something that has/doesn't have a capital letter and it shouldn't have/should have one, then I've got to go back and edit it. If I then see another one, I go back and edit it again.
I've never been officially diagnosed with OCD, but there are quite a few things pointing towards me having it.
Re other people's post, my biggest bugbears are the wrong use of there/their, and using your/you're in the wrong context. I always want to point it out, but that would make me part of the grammer police (WPC Georgie!) so I refrain from doing so!0 -
Useless fact of the day. Academics like game of thrones because it's taken elements of the wars of the roses, Richard II etc and mixed it up with fantasy elements such as dragons. So they can play historical bingo!
I didn't spot any if this when I read the books, not being a history nerd. It contains rape, incest, lots of plotting and graphic murder, so a fair few triggers for the unwary. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

"Drawrer" and "mirrow" here :mad: I do love it when autocorrect changes "hoover" to "hover" though, I imagine all these people levitating around their house
