I can totally see why you wanted to leave. I couldn't put up with a person like that either. She sounds all Me Me Me.

Got to admit though, I love smoked fish too! Smelly things like that are best left to eat at home though....says she who used to take tuna or egg sandwiches into work. A lad who worked there too always used to say he could tell I'd been in the canteen with my fish sandwiches! It was ok though, we could have a banter and not be offended!

Code, I'd just totally ignore it too. It's that moment though when you realise that person you're talking about has heard and you just want the ground to swallow you up.

I get her love for the fish, I really do (although could live without the sprouts) but there's a time and place! She's had years of pretty much being on her own here, bar a few temps she's scared away. Management are based at a different site and let her get away with murder as it's easier than having to do anything. Still - not my problem anymore

I've got to go door-knocking to collect charity envelopes tonight. So far out of my comfort zone it's not funny, but sometimes you have to take one for the team lol. Will be so glad when this week is over - although then I have to count and bank the takings from nearly 25 streets.... most of it in pennies.

If she's saying she's looking forward to having hot meals at work again, it sounds like she doesn't have anything to cook with/on at home!

Is there a technique to silent farting? I come from a windy family, and I've never managed anything more acceptable than holding on till I get to the loo Even then, it doesn't seem to be the done thing thing to be audible.

You just try to find a partner who is ok with it. Better out than in is the motto in my house.
