I have started to dabble with clean eating.
Just made a suggestion for ice cream. Oh lush.
Frozen banana blitzed with a spoonful of peanut butter.

I quite often eat elements instead of dishes. If making a sandwich seems like too much effort, I have some bread, and later some ham and a bit later a tomato. No cutlery, no plate,no board to wash0

Ooooh, yum calley! that sounds amazing. I do that too, Stoodles! Sometimes I have a problem with lots of different elements to my foods so I prefer one bit at a time. I am also the same with dinners. I will have a forkful of carbs, followed by a forkful of vegetables or meat but never combine them on the fork! I simply couldn't eat say, peas and potato in one mouthful! I have no idea why but the idea makes me retch. There are actually no foods at all that I don't like but only one item at a time in my mouth, please!
I can eat things like curry and chilli without a problem and that is combined foods but then I won't eat a mouthful of chilli with the rice that is likely served at the same time. I certainly never let sauce get on my rice, the horror! Again casseroles with mixed food are fine but keep it away from my separately prepared vegetables and potatoes! It was lush. I am now rather stuffed after spag bog and my fake ice cream.
I have a tray of sliced banana in the freezer so I can make it again very soon.

Waves_and_Smiles wrote: »It doesn't effect cooking times unless your water or flour ratio is altered a lot, for all of the breads above I just cooked them for the same time as I would a plain loaf. If it is a bit wetter than usual add 5 minutes, drier minus 5 minutes seems to work if it's needed. Just tip it up and tap it on the bottom, if it doesn't sound hollow pop it back in for another few minutes. A lot of people mess up bread due to the kneading and rising time, once you can do that bit the rest is easy. Lots of people either don't knead enough so the yeast doesn't fully activate or knead too much and dry out the water content. Also, bread loves warm hands! Having warm to hot hands when you start kneading can make a much better bread!
Freshly ground black pepper in bread is also very nice, as is nutmeg. Don't forget you can also decorate the top with cheese, tomatoes, onion, herbs, etc. Can you tell I used to make a lot of bread?
You can! Some handy hints there thanks!
Re the sauces and rice etc, I always mix it altogether! Easier to eat!0 -
WaSp always stirs his rice into his food and I don't look! I can't even put gravy on roast dinners, I make a little pool of it on the side of my plate to dip things into when I choose to. When I have curries I use a slotted spoon to serve them and shake the excess sauce off so each part is just lightly covered with none pooling on my plate. It's probably some weird OCD thing, knowing me!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

No WaS I do that.
If I eat it's one thing at a time so all peas. Then all carrots. Then all potato (you get the idea)0
