Hahahahaha! Nooooooo! make a little home for the gravy or sauce on the side and dip it in! Actually, WaSp eats in exactly the same way, he pours gravy or sauce over everything and hates dry food.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I sometimes put a tad too much sauce on my chips and have been asked "do you want chips with your sauce, or sauce with your chips?"
Not a huge fan of gravy; but will have it on turkey because it's generally a little too dry, I find.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I get asked that a lot, Indie. I have been known to put 3 different sauces on the side of my plate when eating chips.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I won't say the Scottish food combinations I've had over the years.
Just let's say you can shove loads of things on a piece (sandwich).
Im afraid I'm not one of these people who has wet food or dry food issues or who has to eat a forkful of one type of food followed by another.
Down the hatch it goes. I do confess that when I do have chips which is rare these days, I sometimes have mustard with them.
I also am someone who if I like a certain meal I'll think nothing of repeating it a few times in a row.
Really glad I live alone so no one else has to deal with my bizarre food combinations.
I also way prefer a starter/main to a main/sweet combination0 -
This has amused me slightly (not a penguin).

I could do with a food jammer that renders me incapable of overeating. If it worked normally for the first couple of seconds that would probably be enough for my normal calorie consumption!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Me too. I much prefer a starter to a pudding. Usually a prawn cocktail!
Just watching that bodyshockers programme about tattoos, and some are an absolute mess! Greeny/blue in describable blobs! One guys got a tattooed eyeball! :eek:0 -
That is really interesting, whitewing! I immediately wondered if something like that would stop the voices?
That's another one of my odd food things, Pauline! I get bored with food really fast. I can have something like rice two days in a row but not for any longer. I have tried to force myself to get over this and the food has made me feel sick at the thought of it for months afterwards. Believe it or not I went through a stage of eating a lot of toast, then I couldn't face bread for months, just the thought made me feel ill. Luckily I eat anything so I have lots of options to choose from.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I eat pretty much anything. Not meat and not celery (urge. But I like my food, part of the reason why I've had my weight struggles over the years, put on weight easily too.
I'm definitely someone who lives to eat.

Just been to vote. Urgh!
Just thought, WaS, do you vote (by post!) or is it a trigger?
I eat virtually anything. I'd certainly try most things. I baulk at rare meat, though.....I don't like it to be at all pink, or have pink juices. It's not the visual blood aspect, as I don't mind gore, but I don't like the taste or texture of it.
Neither do I like beetroot. If I have to eat it, I'd rather it were roasted.
I once made a chocolate cake, years ago, which had a secret ingredient which was beetroot! You couldn't taste it at all, but it made the cake nice and moist!
Possible penguin, about insects as food:-
As I eat prawns, shrimps etc, my head tells me it's unreasonable not to try insects. To be honest, if the insects were well-disguised, I would have a go. I did once have a tiny nibble on a freeze-dried mealworm I'd got for the birds, and it was like a pork scratching! I wouldn't eat a live one, though! Unless I were, literally, starving! Fresh dead ones, well-chopped up in a stew, say, I quite possibly would. They are very nutritious! It depends on what the texture is like. I like the texture of prawns and shrimps, so if they're like that, it would be ok.
Just thought, I'd better penguin this, in case it puts someone off their porridge!(I just lurve spiders!)

I hate to start the day on a bum note (heh) but one of the side effects of my medication is diawoowoo. I thought I'd avoided it but just under 2 weeks since I started it, it's kicked in. On the plus side, I may lose some weight since everything I eat is shooting back out again.
Apologies if I've put anyone off their breakfasts, except Pyxis.
I will vote after work as the polling station is in the opposite direction to the station.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0
