Night. I will be going up soon. Which is madness seeing as I was in and sleep all day and did not get up to 4pm.

Wonder if thats the new tabs from the Dr!!!!

Have a good nights sleep. I always feel better if I have a good nights kip.

Im not very good at forcing it, what I will say is that its probably one of these very cheesy things that lots of people say, but if I exercise, no matter how crap I feel going into a class, on the way out I feel great.

The problem is sometimes when people feel low they don't have the oomph to exercise, have been there as well.

I did start the couch to 5K a couple of times and even bought an MP3 player just for that.

But being over weight and I am concerned about knackering my knees. Did not have a sports bra so would wear two LOL!!! I always felt better after doing it. But it was going out in the first place.

I also not keen on exercise for exercise sake. If it's a means to an end like walking in to town thats fine.

I am on thing from the dr's about exercise due to me keep suffering bad backs. But have found since I stopped working full time and as and when I get less bad back.

I need to make it part of my everyday routine to go for a walk or cycle no matter what the weather. I have semi decent food in like salmon, chicken breasts, frozen veg so no excuse not eat to bad. I can bung it all in the steamer and off it goes.

I need a routine for everything as nothing seems to get done. I am sat on my !!!! most of the day and things that should be done like washing up, cleaning the bathroom, cutting the grass etc never get done. I looked at some photos from last september and the grass in the back garden was about 4ft tall

Have you considered joining a beginners running group?

This is how I feel. I went out for a run this morning, came back and then showered. During that time, I've done the washing up, (most of that from yesterday and Thursday) and not much else. I've got two loads of washing that needs to be put away and recycling that really needs putting out.

I really need to start doing a to do list. I tend to only do washing when I realise that I've started running out of underwear.:o

Routine is important especially if you have problems functioning. When I was severely depressed my therapist worked on a rota for me. It had literally everything-get out of bed, brush teeth, have coffee, take a shower, etc. The only way I could do anything was to have my day micro-managed so that I didn't have to think, even the smallest decision like when to have a coffee would cause brain fog and I would want to go back to bed. I still fall back on the idea when things are particularly bad, one of the problems with having no job and only leaving my flat once a month is I have little structure in my day so I need to create it.

Yes. But part of my my issues is I turn in to a wobbling mess at the thought of doing going and joining a meeting like that. I don't do very well socially on my own if that makes any sense.

I have the very odd days were I can get loads done. but its all cosmetic such as the washing up.

I still have a hall way to finish decorating and then a small front bedroom to be started. The garden needs a massive overhaul but just can't do it on my own. Need help from someone. But got no one to ask. Asked my dad to help with something about a month or so. But still waiting!!!! I will end up having to do it myself or have to pay someone to do. Which I don't have the money for.

I have plenty as well my hobbies to keep me busy. But I just don't know why I don't get it done? The decorating and the graden I don't see a point to as I don't have visitors so what why bother!!!!

If you got these jobs done, it might make you feel abit brighter, abit more cheerful and probably less stressed too perhaps?

I know when I have things that need doing, I can't relax until they're done. Everytime I see the job that needs doing it annoys me, and it'll bug me until it eventually does get done. Once it is done, I feel calmer and happier.

This is why I write a lot of lists! Before we went away to London and I had things that needed doing, I downloaded a list app. It was very satisfying crossing things off when they were completed. I think it's because I'm very competitive, and I'm like "I will finish those damn jobs because then my list will be complete!" I gave up smoking using an app, seeing a visual record of how long I'd been quit, how much I'd saved etc really spurred me on.

Things such as washing the dishes, hoovering etc I do daily as I can't stand living with clutter, and I quite enjoy doing them and being organised. :o

If it's a chore then there isn't any motivation, even when you've got the time. I was out of work for 4 months, and the jobs on my to do list (like patching up the bathroom) are still looking at me.
Can you break it down into smaller more manageable chunks? Do you have a plan for the garden, or do you just look at it and don't know where to start?

I realise it's no consolation but I'm feeling rubbish too. Found out last night that current brownie leader leaves at end of this term. That, coupled with new hours in new job, is making me feel totally overwhelmed.

Have been wanting to find courage to do brownies for years. Finally do it and now it looks like it's not going to work out.

Feeling very pressured and tense tonight.

Oh, and social lives are totally over rated!

Does that mean the brownie group will finish altogether? Will they not get a new leader? It'd be a shame, you seem to be really enjoying it.

I don't have any cake to hand round. But, rum and raisin ice cream anyone? I warn you, it's very potent! They certainly haven't scrimped on the rum! :rotfl:
