I saw Elaine C Smith yesterday in Glasgow (mary doll), she was the compere for Nicola Sturgeons speech at the buchanan st steps. I have to say Ive never been a huge fan of some of the scottish tv comedies (and I dont have a tv these days), but when they are on their game, you won't get anything funnier. I was never a fan of a programme called chewing the fat, but they have a character called Rab McGlinchey who does something called interpreting for the neds (like chavs), someone does a news broadcast and he interprets it into ned language (non educated delinquent). Its funny. And a bit close to the bone, as there are people in these parts who really do act like and talk like your stereotypical ned. Usually loudly when Im on a bus journey lasting 40 mins.0

I am here, Pyxis! I was without laptop for a while because WaSp thought it was time to back everything up in case of accidents. So I took the time to go for a 15 minute walk sans blanket! I did it! There were people around but not too many, one of which was an adorable little girl with her mum who smiled at me. That made it worth it. I walked past some closed shops which made me very nervous because I associated shops with many people in a tiny space but obviously nothing bad happened and now I feel shaky but proud that I managed it!
For the new people- for the past 9 years I have only gone out covered in a blanket. I am terrified of people seeing me, judging me and talking about me. Lately I have been trying to change this in very small steps. So far, so good!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Me too - though I pass it to hubby, who believes statins mean he can eat anything. Yesterday was lovely - you may remember me posting about my cousins baby who is very poorly? Well, I finally met him yesterday. He's lovely. Although, I didn't appreciate him twice putting his hand in my mouth!Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

My husband thinks like that too unfortunately. I can't deal with a lot of fat either. It was thought at one point that I had problems with my gall bladder, but touch wood it wasn't that.
:T WaS! So you should feel proud, you're doing awesome!!0 -
Oh, that is wonderful, Indie! I do hope he is feeling better!
That is exactly what I used to do and still do under a blanket, Stoodles. I am so paranoid about people judging me that I tend to watch them closely and I know it can make people feel very uncomfortable. Then they look at me and I quickly lower my head and avoid eye contact. It is getting better but it is, and needs to be, slow progress. Once when I was very unwell, I ran up to a poor man in the street and apologised in floods of tears for the fact I am so horrid and begged him not to hate me. Not my proudest moment and I still feel terrible about it, it must have scared him so much.
Hahahahaha! Sort of Pyxis! WaSp stood at the end of the road where I could see him and I walked past the parade of shops alone and round in a circle back to WaSp again! I am quite proud of that, it has been a very long time since I have risked walking down a road alone.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Very pleased for you, and now you know you can do it you have no reason to not do it every day. Walking's not only good for the body, it's good for the mind as well......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
